IF DQ 3 remake has been this long delayed because they were working on 1-2 as well, thats amazing. I just hope that 1&2 is really has got the same love as 3 and its not something they just threw out along it.

I seem to remember, and I could be wrong, that during the original trailer for the HD2D version of Dragon Quest III, the interviewer asked a question to Horii about Dragon Quests I and II. He started to answer but was cut off. This could have been the plan all along to release the full trilogy.

Dragon Quest 1 was certainly short, but they got longer as the series went on. (Like, seriously.) By the time they got to DQ4, they basically had a full-scale JRPG on the NES. And DQ3 ain't no slouch, either. Granted, a lot of the play time is spent level grinding.

I agree, I still think we should hype responsibly just to make sure we don't get disappointed about what games get covered in the DQ HD-2D remake. Also, appreciate you covering Astravia and VAY - I've never heard of both these games before and now I have them on my radar!

Good news is we FINALLY got info on DQ 3 2 HD remake but the bad news is it will available on certain platforms. God I hope the switch plays well and if it will only drop on Switch 2, then that shit BETTER surprise me and be an actual improvement on the original Switch. Hardcore fingers crossed because god it has been so long.

Ah that's so interesting. 🤔 I never would have dared to dream that DQ HD 2D could include more than one game. Shoot, at this point maybe the dream of updating the next trilogy of DQ 4 - 6 might not be so crazy to hope for after all... Man, it's so hard to hype responsibly lol 😅 if only there were a T-Shirt to help remind us...hehehe 😏

DQ3 is a prequel so I think they were just referring to that. I don't see clear reason to think anything other than DQ3 is coming (soon at least).

Maybe -- but they're also no longer referring to "Dragon Quest III" specifically. But you're right, we shouldn't jump to conclusions, and hype responsibly. :)

A collection of the first 3 Dragon Quest games remade in HD-2D would be perfect! I haven't played a single mainline Dragon Quest game yet, so I'd definitely bite if they release a collection of the first 3. I do have DQ11 in my backlog, and it has DLC codes that expire in 2025, so I plan to play that after I finish Tales of Berseria, which I'm playing now. I'm battling my backlog.

Lets pray that Princess Maker 2 Regeneration doesnt feature cut content because one of the endings one could achieve in that game is related to.. not really incest but someone you grew up with falls in love with you and you not being related to each other would allow that ending to become a possibility but I dunno what SONY or Nintendo think about that, or evne Steam, since the original Steam version doesnt feature any kinda censorship or cut content.. besides one bathing scene where a two parter gets relinquished to a onesie basically. Also lets pray the new translation is any kinda worth since the english translated releases have.. not been that great before. And lets pray that the third game in the series with the most content and cooler princess to raise will also get a rerelease with an updated translation, as that one DEFINITLY needs that more then the 2nd game.

Emphasize on the hyping responsibility here. The announcement / screenshot was just that. Nothing else was said so it's interpreted wide. Not exactly getting my hopes super high yet. It's already been 3 years since they originally announced it. Staying calm. Till then holy cow have you heard of this series called Trails and their new arc coming out next month Trails into Daybreak 😂😂😂

I'm working on this table recording setup a bit still, so getting the audio to sync can be tricky. Sadly I think I'm less susceptible to noticing these kinds of things, so I've really gotta nail down the process on the back end to help make sure it won't happen again. Thanks for the feedback!

the princess maker 2 is delay to censorship. as far as i know the reason is: * The removal of items that increase the daughter’s bust size ** The removal of the endings “Marriage with Father” and “Marriage with Butler.”

It would be smart and nice if the first 3 entries are getting the HD 2D collection. Maybe they were just testing to see people's reaction to the HD 2D project and considering it was well received, they might have decided to the first 3. Maybe next will be the 4~6.

and 7 S WOULD need the 3DS DLC dungeons intact just NOT as done ONLINE but gotten as OFFLINE ITEMS IN Game ie buyable in the casino as buyable items.

Lunar and Eternal Blue on PC would be fucking amazing. Because I was a nintendo kid (and nobody had money for a sega cd anyways) I always felt like I was missing out on the Lunar series.

Nobody I knew ever owned a Sega CD but many of us did own a PS1 and PS2 which is how I got to enjoy Lunar 1&2 thanks to the excellent 32bit remakes done for PS1. I recommend checking those out.

Talk about a company punching a hole in my balloon with the whole Magia game, add the word Farm to it and my expectations plummet lol. I am still curious cause I like the art style from the Fairy Tail creator and hopefully the farm in it is not really a big part of it like Harvestella. But if it is more like the Rune factory games which these guys also make then I will probably opt out bleh.

This is good news. I really want Steam releases for every single DQ game if possible. I don't like to play RPG's on mobile devices, I like to chill on my couch with my tv and a controller. So all of the GBC, DS, Android/ios remakes have been useless to me. And I haven't even been able to play DQ9 yet either since it was a DS exclusive. Not really interested in owning a Switch either. Another great thing about Steam releases is you open up the ability to mod your games. The best thing about Dragon Quest 11 for me was that I had the ability to do away with many aspects of the really bad localisation practices that has been plaguing the series since DQ8. My current way to play the series has been: SNES ports of DQ 1-3 with fan translations. NES Dragon Warrior 4. Playstation 2 Dragon Quest 5 with fan translation. SNES Dragon Quest 6 with an incomplete fan translation. Dragon Warrior 7 on PS1. Dragon Quest 8 on PS2 (and I dislike the localisation). Cannot play DQ9. And the Steam version of DQ11. My Dragon Quest life would be so much simpler if it was all on Steam lol.

Where the Winds Meet also caught my interest in that State of Play and I'm very excited for the Dragon Quest HD-2D remakes! Also, the reason that Princess Maker 2 Regeneration is being delayed on Sony consoles is because Sony is censoring the game. Making people wait for that is just bullshit. 😆

Yeah, not gonna lie, the whole "marrying her step-father" thing being removed isn't something I'm going to complain about. But this game also wasn't likely something I'd play in the first place.

@@SuperDerek That content regarding marrying the step-father is pretty creepy, but there is also a lot of creepy content in Japanese games in general. Maybe this censorship is an attempt at Westernizing the game.
