Im 35 and woke up every morning as a child for Zoobilee Zoo. I had the same laugh as everyone at 1:50!!!! Im sure this will lead into me watching a Disney afternoon theme song binge later today.

They need to do the costumes like the VHS release of the musical. I'm not a musical guy by much but I really enjoyed those songs, Memories made me cry if Jennifer Hudson is playing Grizzilla the glamour cat that will be cool. The Nacavity song and the female singers almost put me in a Color of Water moment.

They can giggle about it all they want, but 'Cats' is an amazing musical! It is currently the fourth longest running musical in Broadway history. It was the longest running musical on Broadway up until 2006, until it was finally surpassed by 'Phantom of the Opera'. Success like that simply doesn't happen by accident. It is beloved by millions of fans for a reason. I understand some things just don't strike a chord with everyone and that is perfectly fine, but it sounds like this crew have little to no real understanding of the musical, it's origins and it's history and are unfortunately reacting from a position of ignorance on the musical. I really respect Kristian and the others, but imagine someone uploading a video laughing at and commenting on a property like Star Wars or WWE the way these four are reacting to 'Cats'- something that just isn't in there wheelhouse. They too would come rushing to the defense of those properties and point out the ignorance of the commentators. Yes, it sounds like the filmmakers for this version of 'Cats' are swinging for the fences in terms of presentation and style and of course it's always possible that any bold creative choices could fall short or bust completely, but I strongly believe there's a good chance these four will be eating their own words when the film and even the first trailer comes out.

Yeah but it's all in good fun ... I've been a member of the musical theatre fan community for 20 years now and even within that community people constantly make fun of Cats. It's obviously an important part of musical theatre history and did a lot for the genre and it's popularity, and I think people recognize that, but the genre has moved on and Cats hasn't aged as well as some other 80s musicals like, say, Les Mis. These days it's mainly known as that weird musical with almost no plot and that one famous song that everyone and their mother knows. And also great dancing. Obviously it still has fans today, including you, and that's totally cool! I relate to that because I still love Phantom and people constantly make fun of that, too. I'm just saying this isn't a thing that the Collided crew does but the musical itself has become a little bit of a running gag over the years. I'm still interested to see how they do this movie though!
