I grew up in a migrant worker town, where the parents were green card Filipino, green card Mexican and second generation "Okies and Arkies." I won a speech competition in junior high because my friends of Mexican decent that were born is America, did not think of themselves as American. The speech addressed the fact that they were born in America, and they were American. I could tell dozens of stories that showed the parents wanted their kids to continue to work in the fields as farm laborers and not waste their time in college. It was very rare for them to escape their farm worker legacy.

This is a disease which has been there from the beginning of time, then it'll be okay "you discriminate against me and I'll discriminate against you, and before you know it, there's equality for you".

@@leamcclain1648 it can go away but it would require new laws, constitutions, broader crimes and punishments so dire and immediate that the price for even thinking of violating them much less actually violating them is too high for most racists save the rabid and extreme ones. Most racists might continue to hate but won't dare show their feelings openly as they wouldn't be worth being publicly flogged for 12 dozen lashes or in some cases not worth dying over in a summary execution. For example: 1st offense: six dozen lashes in public, all at once with a bullwhip.. 2nd offense: 12 dozen lashes. 3rd offense: if no one is harmed: Life imprisonment without parole, if someone is harmed, death by hanging or firing squad. 4th offense: if committed in prison, death by hanging or firing squad . Under such a system, racism will likely cease to exist at least the way we see it in videos like this and past acts in history knowing the price for such behavior is too high for most. An extreme example of how crime and punishment in general works. A given crime is given severe enough consequences if committed most are dissuaded from committing said crime in the first place as they do not want to face the consequences. Doesn't stop the determined or desperate but even at least one of them thinks twice.

Man, I've heard stories about people who were denied service in restaurants because of skin color. This is one of those examples. I heard about Dominique Wilkins being denied service by staff at a restaurant where he frequently eats.

I figured it out about about 2 minutes in when he mentioned the owner having a meeting. The meeting IS with the guy who came in. He is really good friends with the owner or maybe the owner is planning to SELL the place to him and when he buys it he will fire everyone who mistreated him.

Who says a Latino or Hispanic person can not have money?? All I can say is when my husband was alive, we both loved eating out (fortunately, because I do not like cooking at all lol lol) and I am Latin and I assure, I am as dark as they come!!! We never had any problem, of course!!! And we did not only visit Latin restaurants, he liked Chinese and I love Italian and we both liked Mexican food too. Of course nobody would be treated like that at a restaurant, but with this pandemic going on it's nice to have this videos to watch!!!

Request to Dramatizeme. Please also display the credits. Atleast the actors, director and script. No issue if you put it either in the Details or on screen in the end. We've seen those actors so many times, we need to appreciate them by names as well. The bad guys have to be equally skilled actors along with the good guys to make a good film.

A few of the actors come and make comments. I've seen the restaurant owner actor in the comments, once, on another clip. I'm in four of their clips, currently on KZfaq. I think it's because of security purposes, perhaps? They don't list the writers, directors or cinematographers, either, and I'd like to know their names, as well.

Both ethnicities are of mixed-race in general. Both ethnicities live near the equator hence both ethnicities (generally) have a light brownish skin tone. Many hispanics will be mistaken looking indian and vice versa as well..

If a potential customer comes into a fine establishment, such as that restaurant, in "Unsuitable attire," being denied service is one thing; as long as that applies to all people, not just a select race, or nationality. But, to be discriminated against, based solely on one's race, or nationality is quite a different manner. I'm old school, cafe, and blue jeans. But if I was going to patron a finer establishment, I'd not consider appropriate attire, unheard of. This guy was judged solely on him being Hispanic. Assuming he was probably a drug dealer, or of a low-income situation. If he had been dressed fine, and with 4 classy dressed ladies, and was white, they would have bent over backward to serve. Not considering that he might have been a Drug Lord, or a Pimp.

When I was 17yrs old I was homeless I wandered into a restuarant I wanted to use the bathroom and get a Drink But The Waitress was laying food in front of me with a smile I start To say I had no money she said See that man at the register taking care of customers? he paid for all of it. I later found out that he was the Owner I dont know where he is today because his restraunt is no longer where it was this all took place in 1994 before KZfaq and wifi
