Sixteen years since I saw this and I *still* think about those last 30 seconds. Powerful.

I saw this production at the Taper in 2003. The last moments of that song are unforgettable.

Same. Same. Same. I had to go back twice to see this production it was so well-done. I still think about that amazing set design, as well, but this moment will forever be etched in my memory.

Yes, yes, yes! You heard gasps in the audience. It was one of the most beautiful moments I’ve ever witnessed on Broadway. And I’m a theatre person, lol. I’ll never forget it. It made me feel my feelings!

I cried through this whole production. It was so powerful and, also, such a treat to see the incredible actors and hear Daniel Jenkins voice together. Big wow.

Perhaps the most brilliant, jaw-dropping moment in a Broadway musical this century. Thanks for posting! Would be great to see even more of this now- classic production

I had the honor of being in this show in my community. One of the most unknown musicals but amazing, and this version is my fav and so many people speak of it

It is ESSENTIAL to watch this TWICE. Once for yourself and your reaction to the moment. The second time, pay attention to the audience reaction.

This is easily one of my top 5 favorite shows of all time and I've seen many productions. I would LOVE to have see this one. And those last 30 seconds left me in tears.

Thank you for posting! I’ve tried finding a clip of this and always had trouble! This was so moving to witness

The moment when the music stops and they continue signing is maybe one of the most powerful things I've ever seen in a theatrical clip.

Thank you for posting this. I saw this on Broadway and have told the story many times of the absolute power of this number. When the silence came it was unexpected and overwhelming. I can't say that it felt like what it might be like to be deaf, but for a few moments I had just lost the ability to hear, and the future would have no sound. The applause was intense, and a great relief.

This moment is like a sucker punch - you don't see it coming, but boy, when it does, you feel it deep within you. This whole production was a wonder - taking a fine musical (not great, but not terrible) and turning it into a work of art.
