Totally agree. Memento is one of my favorite films period and Pantoliano is a big part of why the film is so great. Love him in that film among many others. The film would not be as spectacular without Pantoliano in it. The same is true for much of his other collaborations.

Many years ago I met this Joey in Great Adventure in the large wave pool they have. I bumped into him and we both turned around, and I recognized him from Risky Business. He had a ton of gold chains on, and I though, let me ask him a question. How is it to me a movie star? He said it was better than working and paid a lot more. Then he swam away laughing.

In these dark days this video took me down memory lane. I've been a fan of Joey since Risky Business, and always looked forward to his seeing him in all his performances. I'm Italian and nick names always crack me up! A good friend we called Fast Pete, because he always had fast cars and loved Fast women! Another was called L Man, because he was Lazy, never stood up straight, and always Leaned on something or was Lying Down. my nick name was my name but a very heavy loud accent on the P for Pat. Another guy was a football player and his number was 44, so called Ugh 44. Another guy we called the Dr., because he could fix anything. Another guy we called WildCat because that's what he drove!

Great vid! Joe has a wonderful personality. Just a fun fact that I may have mentioned once before. The great John Garfield graduated from PS 45 and was taught by Mr. Angelo Patri ( school principle) and pushed into acting and then "method" acting by Patri. Patri was also the first Italian immigrant to become a school principal in the USA ( quite a guy). When Garfield came back to visit his teachers after he became a successful actor my father was his chaperone and he received a letter from Garfield not long after. Garfield was called to testify at the House Committee on Un-American Activities in which he refused to name any names and that ended his acting career ( blacklisted). A true neighborhood guy although not Italian. Died age 39. For those that never saw the movie "Trumbo", you should watch it. Great movie about the blacklist and how it destroyed so many lives over nothing. At a time when being a "Communist" had a much different meaning then it did after Stalin broke ties with the USA. I watched that movie almost as many times as I watched A Bronx Tale!!
