It's been a very long time since I heard these songs (Sundance songs). I hear my dad sing them sometimes and it makes my soul (my spirit) happy to hear these this morning and sing along. Made me wanna cry. ❤😭 Thank you great spirit for letting me hear these songs today, it lifts my spirit and I pray this morning for each and everything and everyone here on this earth with us. Also pray of all good and bad things, of this world and for everyone to have a blessed day. Thank you great spirit for this day and each and every day we get to see another. I also pray for all people of this world, in all the four directions and all my relations. Amen.

Stunningly beautiful. I remember my first time hearing this song. I was at Standing Rock. It was morning and I was around the sacred fire drinking some hot cocoa. The flags of many native nations rustling softly in the wind... I will never forget the honor of being there.

An indian hearth is these willing to fight to protect life, ready to die by defending life. Everything else is just a waist of energy. Much love to you brother.

All American Natives come from the same line. From north to south, in much language, dress, and culture, similar traditions stretch from the Arctic down through South America. There was no border between cultures like there was after Europeans, just slight differences from one tribe to the neighbouring tribe. There is much more Spanish culture influence in Mexico than there was before the conquistadors.

@@nenadbebic5524 greetings Wo Lakota is not a written language there’s not such thing as explanation or an exact translation of its guttural and harmonic sound expression, if even there’s a closest gramatical approach for the word welo it would be the word spoken These prayer songs are purely a primordial expression of nature’s harmonic sounds put into acción as hymns and prayers for glorifying our creator, nature and all living creatures on Mother Earth 🌍

Is there any possibility one who is knowledgeable could write the lyrics with the proper inflection symbols? Our family has been cut off from the tribe for 2 generations and we are learning Lakota/Dakota via Uη ̅ci's spotty memory (she left spirit lake when she was 9, and is now 73), and "Reading & Writing the Lakota Language" course by Albert White Hat Sr., et.al. My son learned this song for school, but I'm pretty sure he's pronouncing some of it incorrectly. Thank you.
