Went to buy this game at launch with one of my best friends, and we pretty much beat the game 100% together. We both had some time off work and stayed at his house and just played this for days. Medallions, mercenaries, everything. He passed away some years ago. This video brought back some really good memories.

This shit was so much fun. I still maintain that RE5 is the greatest co-op shooter of all time. One with an actual campaign.

The biggest thing that Capcom did right about RE5 is the fact you can invite your friend to play cooperative anytime similar to how Gears of War did for their campaigns.

Resident Evil 5 was fun as hell regardless of it's over the top tone. Had a nice sense of grittiness that I appreciated compared to the other games of the series

Even though Resident EVIL 5 and 6 aren’t universally loved, the co-op probably one of the greatest thing introduced to the franchise. Hopefully they remake these two.

I have many fond but stressful memories of my friend being absolutely useless at QTEs. Running into the lasers, running clean down a hole instead of jumping it, fighting that giant dude...... And I got my revenge in all the same ways, only I watched my buddy become Alligator food many times lol. Great co-op experience.

21:40 The correct way to deal with that B.O.W is, as soon as you blow up a gas cylinder on it's face or throw an incendiary grenade on it, your partner has to immediately use the flame thrower on it so it stays in a tree like form showing its weak spots as you continuously shoot them with either shotgun, rifle or magnum. It take about a minute or two to kill it if you're playing co-op even on the hardest difficulty however, it's a little bit trickier while playing with CPU as you have do the most of it yourself

Fun fact: The Wesker fight has tons of fun melee QTE:s to use against him with sick combos, making it most fun to beat with only pistols and fists.

This is actually really funny because a week ago I beat this game for the first time because a friend of mine recommended it to me, we played it and had a blast. Best week of my life, joking around playing re5 together. This game is for friendships to be made I PROMISE, hell I even got scared of wesker and still managed to get a laugh at it. This is a really good thing to think about honestly.

Fun fact; Dave Johnson (The BSAA member riding with Chris and Sheva in the rail gun shooter part of the game) is voiced by Reuben Langdon, the same VA who does the voice of Dante from the Devil May Cry series!

So many good memories of this game. While not as great as RE4, RE5 is still one of the most fun coop games (coz f**k that partner A.I.) I played when it came out. Also roided out, boulder punching Chris is still best Chris. Still hoping for a Chris and Sheva reunion for the next Resident Evil.

Now this is great! Both Maxie-boi and Mr. Nico released their videos and we can get to see their perspectives. I'm not a Resident Evil fan, but I'll still watch it for the collaboration.

Back on in the PS3 days, when this game came out, I was blown away by its graphics. I was truly mesmerized and that kept me playing it till I got the Platinum. But looking at it now, it didn't age well.

Max, bless you for using the Restored color mod for the game. Holy shit, this looks so much better now that Africa doesn't seem to have been poisoned beforehand.

When you fight the lady in the black dress, if you shoot her in the leg to make her wince in pain, then sneak behind her, it'll give you a prompt to break her neck. If you kill her that way, the Cephalo won't pop out, and you'll get a treasure.

RE5 and the Resident Evil 1 Remake are my favourite RE games. I believe they are best of both eras. Remake 1 is the pinnacle of the survival era and 5 is the pinnacle of the action era.

Don't care what anyone says, I love this game.

Rocket launchers of that type have insane back-blast effect that would bring down the heli and the pilot by doing that, so that's like the second RE franchise thing that breaks for me, the first is ignoring the preservation of matter with those mutations. Trying to tell my brain to just lean back and enjoy the popcorn, BECAUSE THEN CAME THE INSANITY THAT WAS RE6!

Re5 solo is a 6, but with a dedicated P2 it's easily one of the most fun games of that generation.

Man i've always really liked RE5, people give it crap, but the game is one of the most fun games in the series in my opinion.

I don't care what people say about this game. It's a fun one that me and my brother played together back in the day. Sure it isn't a scary as the previous games and people love to meme about Chris punching Boulders because of this game too but overall it was solid experience.
