I don't do the christian thing, but I appreciate the gratitude portion of it. I started my path of gratitude a long time ago, and I've had a lot to be grateful for. When I was jumped by a gang when they tried robbing me, I was grateful. When I was stabbed in my neck three days before starting my second undergraduate degree, I was grateful. When people sabotaged my work to try seeing me fail, I was grateful. When funders turned me down, I was grateful. They had no idea I had just gotten up in 2015 from a back injury that had me learning how to walk again while I was living in a homeless shelter. When I started university, I was sleeping on my friend's couch. Being a single dad, I struggled to walk, but I still showed up to pick my kids up from school and walk them back to their mom's house, regardless of my own physical pain. I learned to see the value of the struggles, of the pain, of the failures as lessons to help me build myself up better. Similar to martial arts training, the failures pointed out where I needed to improve myself, so I did. Today, I am a graduate, still a single father, but now I have purpose. I found my direction and I am moving forward with it. For everything good, I was blessed. For everything negative, I was taught. For all that I've learned, I am grateful. For all that I have been granted, I am grateful. For everything that is coming my way, I am grateful.

God has blessed me and I thank him every day . I have a roof over my head and food in the cupboard and all my bills are paid . I have my health that is why I work out on the Total gym and lift weights trying to get this fat off. I dont know why he has blessed me because I am not worthy at all. I am trying to get a Grant for school if I can get the Grant it will change my life I will have the money to get this place fixed up and move. I am not in a good place and need to make the changes nobody is going to do it for me. So yeah you need to be grateful never take anything for granted. I am also working on getting my You tube channel launched I am so nervous .

I was beaten, my whole childhood, I was beaten with everything from boards to skillets, shoes, belts hands etc. i was once beaten in my sleep. The day I moved away from home my parents broke off contact. My early adult years were hard, with poverty. I then married, and married life has been difficult due to the fact that we’re both from violent abusive homes. There’s no violence in our home though. I’m 50 years old now, and I’m done. I can’t think of many days that I’ve been grateful to be alive. I didn’t choose this. I’m bored with it. The end of life isn’t always a bad thing. I often feel like I’m just waiting.
