Wakeboarding Boat vs Skiing Boat

To an outsider, ski boats and wakeboard boats look similar. They are both designed to pull athletes behind them, they are both often overpowered, both have roughly the same dimensions & both come with hefty price tags. However, a closer look reveals the true intentions of their designers, whose objectives are vastly different.

Good to see you on a lake. Some of these boat owners use their vessels on rivers. the most selfish of acts as I have a smaller v8 boat best used for barefoot and slalom. I simply have to pull the boat from the water and disappoint my kids when these boats arrive. We run the real chance of sinking and suffer personal harm due to these Lake boats. I mean Wake boats.

Should be a set place where theses big wake setters have to stay. Same deal I have to power over ocean waves when these annoying thing show up. You want to surf go to the ocean 🌊

@@dustindustries42haha. My husband convinced me to get one of these and said it was a cross between ski and wakeboard boat. I’m so disappointed I’ve not been able to slalom ski behind it ever since we got it in 2009. It’s a 2003 X2. He keeps doing things to make it more “ski friendly” with all these tabs and what not but then it never does any good at all and turns out to be about surfing again. Sigh. I miss water skiing so much and actually used to be good at one time. I have no idea if I have it in me anymore (but I could ski a slalom course and did the one handed turns to rip it around and cut back). We even live on the water which was my childhood dream and I’m so bummed I can’t seem to ski behind this mastercraft x2 (we had a Tristar a few yrs before that which worked great for skiing and just fine for wakeboard (for me at least, but I’m 5’9” and 125 lbs ). Now…I don’t ever cut all the way through and even have to get it on the flat part of my ski - so I feel like I can approach and cross safely…without killing myself in the process. And I’ve had a couple more surgeries since we got it, so now it’s unfortunately not showing my kids how awesome skiing can be! They snow ski and I feel like if they saw mom rip it up out there they’d be down with learning it. Unfortunately I don’t feel like my stature is able to handle it anymore- not sure if I would have ever been able to - got this boat one day before our first son was born! lol 😂💙
