Waking Ned Devine - Full Movie Reaction

The lucky winner of the national lottery is Ned Devine, so taken by his good fortune that he now can't be woken, because he died from the shock of it! News of the win spread quickly in the scenic little Irish village of Tully More, but not the secret news of Ned's demise. With lottery officials closing in to confirm the prize claimed by the deceased Devine, Ned's closest friends scheme to keep the prize money close to home, in memory of Ned of course! But as the plot twists humorously, they learn it is hard is to keep such a secret in a small town.

Waking Ned Devine is a favorite movie of mine. The closing song is beautiful and finishes the movie in a masterful way.

Devine is a very common Irish name and the stove in the kitchen is an Aga, there are thouands of these and a similar one called a Rayburn in cottages and farm houses all over GB. Many expensive houses have a Aga, gas, oil, solid fuel or electric, they are wonderful to cook with and keep the kitchen toasty warm all winter.

I've now watched this movie 4 times. I even went to Tollymore (only in google maps street view). The music is good, the acting is good, the story is good, ... and .. The couch is good.

That's a great film I've watch it a few time now and I'd be happy to watch it again. I live in Ireland and I know a few people that would do that for real. Another great Irish film is The Quite Man an Irish classic give it ago you won't be disappointed.

I’d recommend Saving Grace to follow. Filmed in Cornwall. It has some of the funniest scenes you’ll see and some great improv dialogue.

Booze Cruise, 1,2,3 great comedy drama on UK to Calais ferry and neighbours in mishaps trying to bring back their cheap French alcohol. A lot of hatred along the way but being UK a growth tale, imo. 😀❤
