Maximum Range tests are nice because while they aren't repeatable, they are more practical than indoor target shooting, because we all know an actual war isn't gonna be conducted on an indoor static range. You are testing how susceptible the blaster is to wind, drag and you get a better representation of the trajectory. I personally also get a kick out of watching darts get yeeted super far lol. The con is obviously having to walk around outside back and forth. Which, if you hate doing that especially on a property this wide, by all means stick with the simulated indoor range.

Walking around isn't exactly the issue, the main problem I have is most is the weather. It loves to rain in Western Washington.

Anybody else scared at how many of these darts are losing heads from the impacts alone. I for one WOULD NOT want to get hit with this without some armor. I wish the price didn't scare me as badly though

I got a moose a couple weeks ago and it’s just incredible. I love it. Takes motostryke mags, buzzbee mags, centurion mags. You gotta get the nfstrike accufakes though, standard megas won’t do.

If used a hard tip foam dart, this blaster can really pierce thru some hard stuff. Seems to take lot of effort just to prime a shot.

As somebody who plays in a local Nerf club with moose I have been shot by this Blaster many times. When it hits you you know it cuz there's a thud. It is really accurate even at over 50 ft I have had many sniper battles with moose and I often only come out of top cuz I'm faster.

Amazing video lol. It was pretty ridiculous to see how powerful this thing was. I have an important favor for you to do if you can and ask Monkee Mods if they can brink back the Walcoms7 Firefly for Christmas because I love the pink color scheme I think it fits perfectly and the little walrus is also pretty cute lol. i saw your live last night on the 18th. you were talking about the issues you have with putting videos out. i just want to let you know in my opinion your videos are really good. they have my attention the entire time. i mostly watch your videos to the end and your theme music is stuck in my head. i also wanted to let you know that im a bigger guy too and you are inspiring to people like me who are to scared to get on camera because of being too self conscious. i say just go for it. post those videos you arent exactly happy with. i bet you they will be received better than you expect.

what spring load was in this one? K14? I performed a rough energy calculation based on the dart mass and velocity, to get the joule power of the piston. Assuming everything else is the same, a half dart will be flying at about 347FPS. This is just based on KE=1/2MV^2. Factoring in other variables like barrel material, barrel length, BCAR configuration, venting configuration, pusher geometry, O-ring material, and lubricant, results may vary ;)

Having been pegged in the head at 20 feet with my own creation, I can say it wasn't pleasant, but it didn't leave anything other than a red mark that large dart head spreads out the impact quite a bit

At about 200 FPS the kinetic energy density is only 50% greater than a 1g short dart, so it'll definitely hurt more, but not enough to be unsafe.

As you have both, does the Moose half length adapter fit the Ranger?

No, the adapter itself is M0053 specific. There's also adapters out there for the megaburn and b-variant since I had enough access to the files to make them work. I've got full sized magazines (centurion sized) that handle half length megas that work great in the ranger though.

We occasionally play at an indoor airsoft place that has a a little range to test out equipment. M0053 obliterated the little target plates on the steel silhouette they shoot at 35 feet. Guess their stuff wasn't rated for nerf levels of abuse...

They tend to survive more shots than that. Our community bin has cycled through all of the half mega darts I've dumped in there 4-6 times with very few popped heads as a result.
