Wales UK | A Walk Around Bala Village
Bala village is a market town and community in Gwynedd, Wales. Formerly an urban district, Bala lies within the historic county of Merionethshire. It lies at the north end of Llyn Tegid, 17 miles north-east of Dolgellau, with a population taken in the United Kingdom Census 2011 of 1,974.
Bala is a small, historic, market town that provides all the essential services for visitors including: banks, a post office, supermarkets and shops selling local produce including two traditional butchers and delis with Welsh and international products. There are, of course, cafes, restaurants, pubs and Inns, catering for a range of tastes, either in Bala or nearby.
The tour is a first person perspective walking down the high street, showing the range of shops, supermarkets, cafes and restaurants. It was filmed on a Sunday afternoon, hence the reason for many of the shops being closed.
