Katrina - Ranbir dated for around 7 years and when they broke up they had to promote their film and it resulted in some of the most awkward film promotions ever. The two had some really uncomfortable and lowkey funny interviews at the time.

Idk why people are saying they aren't ready to watch Om Shanti Om, the movie came out when i was like 8 or 9 i think and I loved it even then, i didn't get all the references then but still thoroughly enjoyed it, they can definitely watch the movie because they genuinely seem interested in watching it, so I think you guys should definitely give it a go soon!! ✌️

This list doesn't mean that you will get musically brilliant songs, its just that we were dependent on TV channels like 9XM, MTV, etc because obviously we didn't have access to internet as casually as we have now, also in schools leisure time fun was to sing and dance on these songs, etc. But Ngl this time maximum upto 2014/15 Bollywood used to produce majority good songs and crappy stuff less but now its opposite the majority is crappy stuff.

Just one thing you should keep in mind while watching "Om Shanti Om" is that the movie is a spoof and a parody(most of the people who watched the movie missed this point and reference at that time that it's a satirical comedy/drama on bollywood) of various bollywood dialogues, movies, and actors. It's filled with satire on bollywood such as melodrama in indian cinema, horror, rebirth, politics, nepotism etc. Great dialogues, great acting, really a good story, amazing songs. And yes, you guys are ready for it.

None of these songs are that nostalgic. These are actually not that old. Nostalgia for me is late 90s and early 2000s. More than the songs itself it's the memories attached to each of those songs. Its 2000's .. For us late 90's borns this is what we have actually grown up.. Aside from how music havd changed, it just hits us nonmatter whether songs are comic, emotional, romantic ir just plain silly.. Evdn the ways movies made and the pairings feels nostalgic.. Akshay and katrina kind of reigned in that era which is quite evident in this video..And after ranbir debuted he had gone on to rise, also enraan and kangana pairing.. Those movies ❤ Nowadays it feels as if movies are either mass action, biography, social message or stupid overdramatic comedy which is difficult to bear..Romance is just for the songs.. I do miss simple and sometimes silly plots of bollywood movies.. Regarding ranbeer and katrina....... Well that would be whole another tea for you efra but in simple words salman and katrina had alreadt broken up before ek tha tiger era and the reason was ranbir and there was a period of weird awkwardness during ivs or public stint where he would roast her about it.. at 4.51 with papu cant dancel you are damn right waleska.. The song was literally everywhere..it was so popular back then..infact i would recommend the movie"jaane tu ua jaane na" Kabhi kabhi aditi is from that movie only.. Actually even i dont know still what exactly "aaye pappi" meant in that song 😂 And yes that was kylie minogue in that chiggy wiggy song.. It has sonu nigam as well and sonu hates the song.. According to him that they got kylie to sing for their film so they could have done better than chiggy wiggy.

A interesting info - you said Katrina and Ranbir you haven’t seen much - they were engaged and had a messy breakup after which they got married to different people. Jagga Jasoos promotions are an interesting watch - you can see them being uncomfortable since it was just after their breakup.

I still remember that time we (actually my mom and sisters) all are just playing these songs on 9xm and do our home chores every morning. Days like that was still bring me joyful memories.
