cool! I'm really liking Tonga. I went out to a few island caves today and did some snorkeling. There's so much to see here and nobody around. It's like a major tourist destination with no tourists, haha. Cheers! I think I'll be stopping by Vancouver on my way back to Ontario eventually.

I visited Tonga in 2019. It was such an honor to actually set my foot on their soil. We visited a beach where there is a reef quite nearby. Had some Maka beer too. It's good beer

Tonga voted against Japan in whale fishing! Japan was disappointed but they never stop helping Tonga! They have been helping Tonga far before the whaling was banned internationally It shows how good Japan has come since the ww2! Unlike China!!! Either you are with us or else!!!

I came across this video. I have to say, Tonga looks completely different from when I was there before lockdown. I'm sure their still doing some renovations since the tsunami. Also, with the non t-shirt thing. You're allowed to walk without a t-shirt at the village your village. Down town it's considered disrespectful. But you won't get arrested for it. You're mostlikely to only get told off.😂 Also, relating to the church topic. That guy Tonny needs to check himself. He was probably was angry at someone at church that he told you those lies!🤦♀😂 Tonga is a free country. If you don't go to church you don't go to church. You don't get arrested not going to church. Every single person in Tonga believe in God. They don't believe that we're monkeys.😂 God is Tonga's foundation. And that's that. Tonga is a christian Nation. We do not want to westernise our Country. But, think of the Western countries. We have our freedom being christians. And we also have our culture and our customs.

Thanks for the info. I wasn’t really worried about being arrested for taking my shirt off, but found it interesting that it’s illegal haha

Japan never "sent" cars to Tonga. Anyone can purchase a car from Japan on the net, it's the cheapest way to import a car. And so also spare parts are readily available.
@DanDoesKorea Жыл бұрын
Thanks for clarifying:) I was surprised by the lack of scooters and motorcycles in Tonga. Someone explained to me it’s because it’s hard to get them fixed. No parts around.
@chrislyons6951 Жыл бұрын
Kiwis import a lot of 2nd hand Japanese cars too. Isn't there a similar trade in used cars between USA and Mexico?

Hey man, I was in Tonga less than a month ago, 60% of Tongans belong to the Latter-Day Saints, with the exception being the Free Church and Catholic Church in Nuku'alofa, almost of Tonga are 85% plus are Christian, the Catholic churches you were referring to are Mormon temples but that is okay...Hope you enjoyed Tonga !!!!

Now that I think of it, they say “bye” because when passing by or crossing one another in public, translated from Tongan to English is literally “you go”, which sounds rude in English, but really is considered rude if one was to cross or pass by silently (even by strangers), I see now that they adopted the word “bye” for foreigners. Interesting.
@DanDoesKorea10 ай бұрын
Finally an explanation! Thank you for clarifying, it was quite confusing to me at first haha. Cheers!
