lol at the righteousness of those complaining about the water swatting. dead is dead, and if your goal is to kill the animal you owe it to that animal to take it as cleanly and humanely as possible. i'd say a head shot at a non moving target is about the highest percentage kill shot there is. and if you can fool them into landing in your spread then your did your job. give me 5 birds on the water and i'll have 5 birds in the bag. give you 5 birds flying at 30 mph on a tailwind and you better have extra shells and be ready to chase the cripples. easy choice

Blessings, On a vid you put up a good time back on 4 levels (amount) of calling, you mentioned a drake whistle. Is this a special type of call or a technique on a standard call? I purchased a single and double reed Echo Timber and Hayden D85 after one of your vids. While I have Goose hunted over the years with a half dz magnum dekes and calling them (doing pretty decent and getting them really close), the overwhelming majority of my duck hunting has been sneaking up the dams on small ponds. Love and appreciate your starting the vids with scripture!!!

I wouldnt worry to much about a drake whistle until you get some more time under your belt. Sometimes it helps but its rare imo. Really depends on where you are though it seems. The duck commander drake whistle is the best that ive used. Hope that helps and let me know how it goes with that echo

I see on the first part of your hunt you have your robos facing 2 diff directions vs pointing into the wind. Is there a reason why you did that or did they just happen to get stuck out in the dekes at diff angles?

No we usually dont put make putting them into the wind a top priority. We try to face them to where the ducks are coming from. So we had one to where the ducks would see them in the distance and then one with the wind that they would see when coming into land. Good eye and great question

I bought the girsan Mc 313 after watching your videos and I’m have tones of issues with it jamming and miss firing and if tried tones of different shells I’ve also had problems with the choke getting stuck and not coming out. Just wondering if u had any issues with it

Sorry to hear that man, no ive not had any issues nor have i heard of single person having issues. All the comments on that video are people who have had great results with it. Id warranty it. A certain percentage of all products are defective, just the way it is. Id contact where you bought it immediately and warranty or the company themselves

I think every guns different, even if its the exact same model. Especially when you introduce different chokes. Ive shot kent and federal. Both in 3inch #2s. I would just experiment, shot some different ones on paper. Which ever one shoots clean(no foul ups) and shoots a good pattern out of your choke and gun, would be the one i would choose.

Imagine fooling a wild duck that has seen every decoy spread this side of Canada on its way down, into actually landing in your decoys. To me that's the definition of sporting and the guys complaining about water swatting are probably the ones sky blasting birds at 100 yards.

Thats the most backwards way of thinking imo. Let me scare this bird and force myself into a worse percentage shot and possibly cripple the bird instead of cleanly taking. Do you make your deer run before shooting? How about turkeys? Remember that next time you run one up and cripple it. The game is tricking a public land mallard into actually landing on the water. The type of thinking your talking about is better suited for clays in my opinion but to each their own

Okay, so running a duck up to force yourself into a lower percentage is more ethical?? Why dont you make a deer or turkey run next time before you shoot at it
