Absolutely going to use this design for my girls! They need a massive upgrade and I am also in New England so outside hasn’t been a great option for us

Cool set up and video. I got a baby redfoot tortoise 71/2 years ago about 2 inches long and it's been an awesome pet for sure. It's a lot bigger now remember to feed protein every now and then as they need it for vit D .

That's awesome! We're about to revamp our indoor enclosures and we totally might steal the idea of covering it with plastic to keep the heat and moisture in! Smart thinking!

Thats awesome! It has worked great, our basement is typically a little chilly but it has been nice and toasty in there.

I have 4 red foot tortoises I recently moved indoors, but I am leery on using soil and moss as many other videos i watched stated that it can house bacteria. I currently only have their base as lanolium which also makes it easy to clean everyday.

Outside feeding is def tough with the bees, you would most likely want to fully enclose him

I havent fully measured them yet I can check for you in the next few days. Everything has seemed to be pretty good. Its been up for over a month now and everyone is doing great.

Perhaps you could attach screen unto the outside tortoise enclosure to keep the bugs and bees out.
