Man...I f**ck with the talent these young brothers have but I am disappointed in all the violence. Making moms miserable, kids fatherless and more prone to abuse, and giving up their own lives to death or the system. We could be running the country but we running each other down for some European Love (vanity/greed/lust). We giving them the wrong things to talk about. Our city is gentrified to the point where it is no longer “chocolate city” but “cream puff city”. What brings us together shouldn’t be tearing us apart...I’ve lived in every quadrant of this city; from the 90s until this day. I’m sick of the exploitation and death of our people (babies, girls, young men, grandparents); nobody is off-limits when it comes to the spray of bullets. Healing is not weak. Destruction and death make communities and families weak. I’m not against the music; more so, concerned about the mentality it seems to encourage. If only the energy could be redirected.
