I'm definitely going to try this!! Ideas for a few videos - # 1 - Swiss Lace System install with tape/bonding. I've tried Perma Bond recently and it's held for 2 weeks. I've been having issues with my front line (absolutely always self conscious about it).. # 2 - list some places in areas across the country if you can 😊

We need to see more videos of you actually working with the system. You may have done these years ago but it would be nice to see some modern day videos of it. That's what people really want to see IMO. Hairline touchups, how you actually apply your tape around the back of the system and how to really get it spot to the back of your head on when applying, another shower video (only seen one from you, ever), how to explain to your girlfriend you wear a system, etc.

Okay guys... First of all thank you Curtis for the sample! As Curtis mentioned, I have found this to be extremely messy as well. It's stringy it got all in my hair, hair unit, my face and eyes. Stringy like walking into a spider web. Now the vial that he sent me didn't have the little brush as you saw but I used to use a product that was similar buy Hair Direct and it had that nail polish brush and so I tried that. Still messy. This stuff though is super strong.The minute I started to put my unit on it bonded instantly. In fact the unit wasn't lined up right and I couldn't adjust it so I wound up having to take the whole thing off again. Ughh! It was very difficult to get off, and as he mentioned clean up in my hair and scalp was also difficult despite the many products I use. I would suggest buying the one that they suggest on their site to take it out. I did try it again the second time using a different brush. It does seem like it's going to adhere pretty long. They do sell it though in a new bottle which is supposed to be easier to use. I suggest if you are going to use this kind of a product you have someone who's able to put your unit on for you so that it gets on correctly the first time and you don't have to worry about any adjustments. It bonds instantly. Update: my unit started lifting on the sides and slightly in the front after a couple of days. I used a little alcohol to get it back down again. Also my sensitive skin, this is itching me so bad and it's only been several days.

Can you make a video about dealing with the hair that your hair system will be covering? I've never shaved my head before. How about do's and don'ts? what to use, etc. I've also always wondered what happens when the hair starts growing back and into the bond or tape; such as if the regrowing hair will loosen the bond
@frankgarofalo843
@frankgarofalo843 4 жыл бұрын
hey bud... I would suggest going to a professional first for your first-time have them cut your head measure everything out etc. once everything's done the first time it's much easier to attempt to start to do it on your own later on. When your head shaved it doesn't really grow back that much, at least for us bald folks. So hair doesn't grow up into the unit or the bond or the glue or disrupt any of it even if a little bit does grow. in fact you could even just bond down on the little bit of hair that is there, and it still has a good secure Bond. Most people wear their units one week to four weeks. At that time when you take it off to clean it, you just shave down a little bit of hair that has grown back. Because my head is sensitive, I only keep my unit on for a week at best. Hope this helps to answer some of your questions.
@chrispatriot
@chrispatriot 4 жыл бұрын
I'm a type V on the Norwood Scale, so my hair comes back quick. I simply strain out a smile as I remove the unit and it takes a few small hairs with it. But the "bond" stays, even with the hair growth. The "b!tch" is cleaning it out of the hair. I actually cheat and just use my clippers which removes it, and then find it easier to clean my clippers... ;) Also, I get a STRONG allergic reaction to the normal oils that loosen the adhesives... C-22 and GhostBuster both irritate the hell out of my scalp. I use Salon Pro Super Hair Bond Remover. It's great, works fast and no heavy chemical smells at all. GREAT STUFF!!!

Oh and here is a tip for doing your front line with any glue... Mark out your front line with a pencil. Take clear Scotch tape and tape out the linethe line on your forehead you have created slightly underneath the dots. Now wipe off the dots. Put your glue on extending over the Scotch tape. After the desired wait time, remove the Scotch tape use a blow-dryer quick to make sure any remnants are dry and then Bond your hair unit. as long as your measurements are accurate you should have no problem getting extra glue below your line.

hey I do mine all by myself and you know what it is tricky I tried different methods all the time and I've been doing this for 2 years. It just really isn't easy to do. But it is doable. make sure that your stylist that does leave your hair length longer in case you don't always get it on exactly right. Unfortunately mine loves to cut my hair just short enough and so it has to go on perfect. I have a mirror in my bathroom. And lucky me I have a hand mirror that I can attach directly on the wall behind me by hanging on my Nick nacks. But you will need a mirror behind and in front. The best method I have found is taping directly onto the unit. Up to where you get to the front. oh I'm sorry first put the unit on your head and Mark out the front line. Then put tape on the unit. Unpeel all of the back and sides of the unit. Line it back up on the front line that you have created. Roll down the sides and back. Then flip the front up put glue down up to where you have Mark your front line, if you are using glue. Then roll down the front. Now I use a combination of very thin tape at the front and glue. I just leave a slight edge without tape so that that part will glue down and look a little bit more natural. But that's cuz I use a flipped up hairstyle. You can just use a thin tape at the front too (flipped up) and it really isn't noticable. Hope this helped

I’d like to see a video(s) from the stylist’s point of view. I recently had to walk into a salon and ask if someone was familiar with hair systems or extensions and have just been so nervous about getting someone “new” to cut my systems since i’ll be receiving them soon. I recall you filming a haircut but don’t really recall the stylist speaking about how to do a cut-in. I think it would be great to interview your stylist on how both of you learned together on how to cut and style your hair. I think it would be good for hair wearers to share the video with a new stylist that might be curious exactly what they’ll be dealing with just to get them a little prepared on what styling tools they’ll most likely want to use, what not to do, etc. If you actually made this video and I missed it, my apologies. You’ve taught me so much and I check my account every day to see if you’ve posted anything. And I agree with the post below. I think a FaceTime or audio chat interview with your clients would be a cool next step. You’ve come a long way in your business, why not get some more filming material/advertisement from your willing clientele? 😊

Thanks! Ghostbond irritates the SHIT out of my scalp and I found this as a replacement. I'm still figuring out the ins and outs of how to use, clean, maintain, and wear the lace units so I've been waiting to use the walker bond, plus with how sticky and messy it is I thought it might be best to wait to see you post a video using this stuff. Maybe show us your application method and how you clean the excess stuff off of you since it is very likely that people will get it below their hairline and in the hair? The other problems I have so far mostly are losing a lot of hairs in the hairlines so I constantly have to trim my unit with every use, getting impurities stuck in the squares of the lace itself (almost exclusively in the hairline or very back... never in the middle???) which seems to be making my bond not hold more than a few days, your thoughts on the walker tape (personally I don't like it because it never holds more than one day but it doesn't irritate me like the supertape?), and also how to help keep units silky smooth as I want to buy longer units (I like hair down to my jawline). I have two that I wear interchanging which I use every other use, and they're both very dry. I don't wash them everyday and have a sedentary lifestyle for the time, and whenever I do wash them I definitely use a ton of conditioner and the leave in conditioner every time I style my hair which is every other day - BUT I know you have videos on most of these topics so before I brought it up I was just going to get around to filtering through your videos. I've watched everything at some point and I've been following your channel since your first handful of videos and I have to say each one is helpful with unique information, but they can be a little verbose and force you to listen to a lot of repeated information. Also, have you tried using a toothbrush on your lace units? I saw that in a weave video from a lady youtuber and found it helpful for impurities. Dunno if that works well with poly or not. I know this is a lot of info here and reading, but I'd like to help if I can since I'm mad appreciative for all your work.

Thats crazy. Normally ghost bond is pretty safe for most. But I can totally understand. Something in it your body doesnt like. Never tried a toothbrush on a unit, but I do use a boars hair brush, its helps get the hair off the hairline when it gets stuck

Hello i know I’m lato to your comment, but the best way to remove this specific glue off of your units it’s to slide the unit directly to a mirror, I have a mirror specifically for this, the glue will slide off clean like gummy buggers on the mirror, then when you wash you’re unit when you apply conditioner leave a bit more on the hairline and then comb it through with a thin rat tail comb, the glue that got on the hairline will slide right off. I’ve been using this glue for forever and I know it’s messy and everything but it’s the only glue that never gave me a reaction and it’s strong as hell, I’ve been swimming head fully immersed in the ocean, sunbathing afterwards, hot showers, saunas and my wig never moved.

This could be totally possible. Depending on the bond. Most are FDA approved for use on the skin. But it's totally possible. This is best asked to a physician

You can never run out of ideas bud! Hair systems will still evolve and look better and new glues and products. Once the hair is on and glued then I have a huge issue finding the right products. Used to love hair gel but it dries the hair out. It's hard to find products like brylcreem which will condition and also gift you style and great shine. Waxes are great but you must have some great ideas on serums and styling products

Do a video about bleaching knots, venting hair in a poly and lace....or.....what is CRUCIALLY IMPORTANT is showing pics of the degree of curl available on an order so we have the best info to get a match. The biggest giveaway after color blend and thickness is the curl of the system being unmatched to our natural hair.
