I think Walker Hayes is the most underrated talent of the current time. Of course everyone is finally seeing him due to the Applebee's l song. However he's so much more than just that song. I hope people seek out his other music and are pleasently surprised. He's so talented and adorable. But what makes him so adorable is he is an amazing husband and daddy of six.

Understand your heartache, I was 32 when my husband passed away at the age of 38. Had been to gather since I was 18. It's Been 10yrsnow. Definitely something he would be singing as well.

Walker Hayes is AWESOME! Took my girls to a “Fancy Like” concert in B’ham, Alabama; He put on a great show and we had a blast! I love the story behind an Alabama boy going to Nashville and like so many, had ups and downs, and he never gave up and look what happened BOOM! “FANCY LIKE” put Walker on the top and changed his life, and his wife has stayed right by him through it all! I think my favorite parts are when the kiddos or Laney are just singing along without a care in the world.. Oh and also the brother pounding the sisters head in the couch cushion😹 (I’ve got 5 siblings I know how that goes) Love this, Walkerrr, so proud of you!! 😁

Today, Valentine's Day is the anniversary of my husband's death. 23 yrs married, 5 living children (plus 1 stillborn son). Widowed at 41. 6 years without him, still have no interest in any other man in his spot. He's the only one for me ever.

Aside from the lyrics, my favorite part of this video is that their house isn't "picture perfect." Messy garage, scribbles on the front porch column, holes patched on the wall behind the couch... this mom of six finds relief in the little things. :) The Hayes family is the real deal.

I didnt notice much the first two times I was crying too much. But I LOVE that they are the real deal. I have 4 kids, and dang its normal to have clutter, scribbles on the porch, plaster. These are things the rest of us normal folk live with having kids.

they cook and clean together. They didnt move to a big house. They didnt even buy a car. They got their Kids the Christmas decorations they had a deal about. They are humble, very close knit. His wife is gorgeous. But they are normal. And I love it! listen to AA youll crack up but secretly its all parents main goal.

I showed this song to my girlfriend a while ago…this song always reminds me of her because she always likes eating at home and she loves sleeping and loves me for who I am instead of my past relationships where they’ve chose me bc of money that they thought I had…and on top of that she loves orchids and football…after the song was over she told me that I won’t ever have to worry about her ever leaving me

I just divorced my best friend and husband of 10years.We are 32 and met in 6th grade.I was his ESL tutor in 1998. I fully support his new found love.We grew apart but he is such a good man&I’m happy for them.He and his family have played such a huge role in my life throughout all these years.This week I found this song and have had it on replay.Everything happens for a reason.He just wasn’t the man for me.This week has been very emotional but I made the decision to let it go and I’m proud of the woman I have become after it all. So happy to see people coming back to this video since Fancy Like came out. This guy is the real deal. And I love mom/wives like Lauren Rhett and Lainey. (please correct my spelling of her name) are now in the spotlight beautiful women who are unapologetically who they are. No false pretenses. Great loving marriages. And wonderful kids. Gosh this guy should have been getting recognized for so long he has that same heartfelt writing style of Thomas Rhett and devotion to his wife and family but with his own style. This is like the ultimate love letter. He sings about how wonderful she is even in the fun songs. Their love is completely goals. Ups and downs. Him plugging away at music. But Lainey has been there, her smile is amazing. I loved just the house as the video .Super happy to see good people succeed! He should have been able to get those blow ups years ago. This should have been a top 5 song. I believe "you broke up with me" came close. But he found a niche that is SOOOO needed right now. Light, happiness, laughter, all with undertone of his love of family. This song is sad in the fact he is talking about not being there, but he gives a gorgeous tribute to her as a what if.... We all just want light for the first time in a long time. And come on how cute was the whole family singing at different points. And the bum tap at the end. Thats when things are good.

We saw you perform this song live at CMA Fest and instantly fell in love with it. I love that we got to see you with your family after hearing you talk about them at the performance. As a mother of four - I can appreciate many lines in this song. I have to say two favorite lines "Home is her favorite restaurant" and "favorite season: football." Classic. Love your writing. I LOVE your love story and I can't stop listening to this. "Don't ever say she's actin just like her mother." And "Don't ever watch the office without her." "After church she gonna talk!" All these great lines that remind me of myself! It's so personal, yet so relatable! I just love it! Doesn't matter if you're not traditional country. The love that was put into this is as down home as it gets!

😭😭 Lord, this was hard. My fiance passed away April 2021. I haven't listened to music since. I love music, nothing can cheer me up quiet like music, but, I simply have no desire for it. My fiance and I both loved Hayes, I was watching something random in KZfaq and suddenly him playing on the today show with his song "fancy like" came on, I obviously hadn't heard it, but wondered if those kiddos on the stage were his, I looked it up, and here I am. This was hard. Mercy. 💔 beautiful video, beautiful family. Love yours. They are to be cherished because nothing on this earth can replace them.

What an awesome song for your wife & family! Can't get enough of it! The words are so real, about everyday life. Things she likes & dislikes, just an amazing job Walker for writing this song! The openness about telling her to go find another lover, if you should pass, is never seen in music these days. I'm very impressed with your music, happy that you have a wonderful family, & have found your soul mate. Not to many men can say that in their life! May God bless you & your family, especially through this pandemic that we all are going through! Thanks again for that beautiful song! One of my all time favorite songs & I've been a music lover for over 42 years!

He has such a calm and gentle voice. So much talent!! On top that he is a good loving husband and father!! So wonderful to see. My sister and her friends flew from Seattle to see him in Fargo. They loved the concert!!!

Just heard this song for the first time. I cried. The couple in the video was just like my daughter and her husband. I just couldn't imagine if anything happened to either one of them. What a beautiful song and voice. Thanks so much for sharing it with us!

Had to listen to this again. My husband passed away recently and this is something he would of sung to me . But we were married it would be 51 yrs this Christmas 🎄 I have no intentions of haveing any relationships ever he was my soulmate. But what a awesome song for him to do for his wife. He does bring me a smile in this heart broken 💔time of my life.

@@jenniwilliams3295 thank u so much! He was my everything. I'm so lost. Although I couldn't see him for 4 days there no visitors rule. When it was time to turn the machines off we were blessed with a ICU doctor who aloud me to talk to him hold him for 2 hrs I made the choice to be in the room when they took the breathing tube out. I had asked for comfort measures prior so he would go peacefully. Which he did 33 min later. I had to grant his wishes and was blessed to be there to the end. His suffering ended and mine began . Thanks for your response.

I love and identify so much !! I lost my David the love of my life 33 years ago and the 10th would’ve been our 53rd anniversary if he would not have passed. I think the beginning of the song makes it pretty clear that he is talking about dying and her being a widow. He says at the start of the song that she always said if something ever happened to him she would never fall in love again. And he says don’t let her. This isn’t about a break up.

I was born in Waukegan Illinois but now I lived in Germantown Wisconsin for 7 years now I’ve been a karaoke musician for 9 years now hard rock music is my passion for music my older brother Danny waysted has a new album coming out soon this august with his band waysted generation he’s been doing awesome after his major heart surgery he recently recovered in the past months ago he’s now in the studio working on new music my brother Danny and I are very close brother and sister relationship we never leave each others side you know I’m also working on new music after my hospitalization scare stomach flu garlic allergy I had in the past a lot of weeks ago it was a challenging road for me I’m doing much better now I’m able to be back on stage performing and do what I love most for myself 😘 I’m truly blessed and grateful of all of my music mentors and bands who are there with me every step of the way in my journey it’s a truly wonderful blessing I deserve in my life as a performer love you Fred thanks for supporting me thru my difficult challenging journey it’s an honor chatting with you talk to me anytime dude I’m not busy much every morning love you 🥰

I'm still licking my wounds from last Friday...my daughter and I were OMG EXCITED to come see you in Tacoma, singing your songs all the way there.. but I didn't realize it was a bar and she is only 13. There were tears and maybe a little bit of cussing involved. lol I promised her, next time, I'll be on the ball and get tickets where you can meet her. You are our "mother daughter bonding thing" .. learning lyrics and singing. She's got Prescriptions down but still working on Face on My Money chorus. lol I'm so sorry we missed seeing you...please come back soon and to a venue that allows kids! lol (btw, the tears and cussing were MINE, not my sweet girl lol)
