When I covered my shop walls, I put a small dab of Vaseline on the outlet like you did with the chalk. Quickest and easiest way to layout and cut out the outlets. Your shop is looking great!! Congratulations and have fun building in it!!

Keep the updates coming, helps me think about how I will eventually build out my own standalone shop. I finished my 2 car shop on my own, started with bare poured concrete walls and after demolishing some stairs, shelving, and old improperly installed insulation, I framed it out, insulated, and sheathed it in plywood. Then it was on to electrical, lighting, and heating. Currently a little burnt out after building shop cabinets (including 20 drawers) and no end in sight for other shop furniture I hope to build. Need to get back in the habit of being out in the shop every night if I ever hope to quit my job and start my business like you did. Can't wait to see how you fill out the shop once the building is complete. Cheers!

Try using a cordless oscillating multi tool to cut your drywall and anything else you might need to cut. Works like a champ! Great build. Thanks for sharing.

How do you know where to drive the screws into the plywood to hit the studs without seeing them im new at this

I have a q? I'm wanting to close in a backporch patio. After framing should I add foam insulation and then my plywood then set my windows or frame. Plywood and insulate from inside??? Thanks for any input.

Add galvanized J-Bead to the wall base in a shop or garage. It protects and strengthens the base. Use a good quality caulking in the bead before putting it on the drywall and once slid on, put the drywall up. Without, drywall will get damaged with water and bumps. $15 for 10ft at nearly all home improvement centers

hi , thanks for this , I'm doing a music studio. , and was thinking of covering the walls with dry wall then putting another layer on top with plywood to give more acoustic insolation would that work ,,, thanks

Is that a yellow chevy luv mikado just out side the door I saw? I used to have one. Oh and is that half inch ply or three quarter ply you put up on the wall. I'm in the middle of sheathing my shed.

PLEASE HELP : looking for some ideas on how to secure melamine cabinets on a wall that has plywood behind it ! My backing for cabs is 3/4 thick I would assume sheetrock is 1/2 and plywood half inch or 3/4 I usually use 3” screws on walls without the plywood directly to studs ANY IDEAS help any info on certain wood screws anything !! Was just thinking to use longer screws and put a bunch on each cabinet for extra strength TIA!! I was also thinking I might add some legs on it but my goal is for it to be floating , thanx!!!

Question, Why didn’t you set your studs at 16 inch centers to avoid the extra Barttons and also why didn’t you keep it flush on the top? Surely you have a skirt of some description for the bottom?? Would of looked neater
