Walking around Isla Verde Puerto Rico

If you're thinking about visiting isla verde, this video is for you. I take you on a short walk past the grocery store. I point out several amazing restaurants and coffee shops along the way. Also share some of my thoughts about things that I love about being in Isla Verde. I finish the video off with some amazing beach footage and a special surprise.

My wife is from Puerto Rico. I was born in Cuba but grew up in Puerto Rico. My oldest son was born in Puerto Rico. We have been living in the Miami ( Coral Gables) Florida Area for the past 36 years. All my brothers and sisters and my mother all live in Puerto Rico. We travel often to PR to visit family and friends although not as much since Covid-19. I love Puerto Rico and specially the Puerto Rican people. In your video walking in Isla Verde you passed by a Cemetery. In that Cemetery my wife parents and several of her family members are buried in her family plot. Enjoy beautiful Puerto Rico and the beautiful people of Puerto Rico.

Make sure you get to old San Juan and if possible out of San Juan

Isla Verde is not the only paradise, there are many places in Puerto Rico that are equally paradisiacal.

Most cemeteries in PR are ABOVE GROUND . The PANADERIA ISLA VERDE is GREAT!!!!

I've been to Puerto Rico before. My most ever favorite vacation spot is at Isla Verde Beach ⛱️. I've stayed at ESJ Towers. I'm pretty much certain that ESJ Towers system would still accept tourists and travelers.

@@PuertoRicoLife Yeah. Big time renovations. This is the best resort and my most ever favorite destination and vacation spot. As long as they restore and renovate it well. Of course I know how to speak a lot of Spanish.

Isla Verde is the best! You have the ocean breezes to keep you cool, so don’t worry about the heat. However, wear sunscreen, on cloudy days, even after you get your natural tan.

I have to wear sunscreen pretty much every day I had melanoma and my dermatologist gets very unhappy with me even if I have a slight tan but yes Isla Verde is very nice

Hello, Jeffrey! Glad that you are enjoying the island. Most cemeteries on the island are like that, even in small towns. At least the one in my hometown, Lares, that María devastated, was like that.

I'm looking for a short stay in Isla Verde. My husband is american, never been in Puerto Rico. I'm puertorrican. can you tell me where did you stay in this video? I know this is going to sound weird but... I get what you are saying with the cemeteries. Of all the cemeteries I've seen, the most interesting ones were in Washington D.C. Lol, I hope I don't regret making this comment. :-)

I'm going to Puerto Rico on January 5th, 2023 for a month & staying beach front Isla Verda Beach. I've did lots of research before i book the place. The place I'm staying is very convenient to lots of restaurants & 50 steps from the beach but i want to know where can I get all the tropical fruits & fresh seafood? Are there some special places selling those

@PuertoRicoLive I worked years ago in Isla Verde. But there are better places to live than usla verde. Like the dawn and the walks, among others, you pay the same and have a better quality of life.

How much can I expect to pay per sq ft for an ocean view like yours. Also is your car in a cover and secured garage? Thank you!!!

so I'm renting, the rent is a couple of dollars per square foot per month I don't know if that helps or not because normally you would look at it as a purchase I think you'd be at around $200 a square foot for a similar view at the best case on purchase. I do have covered and secured parking I don't actually have a car because I haven't bought one yet.

I love to stay in Isla Verde🏝 or Old San Juan bc you can walk to places ...lots of places to eat and hangout and no car needed. Why was there a mailbox in cemetery?🤔
