Hello, and welcome back! On today's Itwinerary we'll take an evening walk around the West Eugene area of Downtown Eugene Oregon. We'll start at the Eugene Public Library (walking inside a bit), pass the Transit Station, and all of the unique local eateries, shops, and businesses that make Eugene so special! Let's walk!!

I was visiting Eugene Springfield last week. The roof lines so interesting as well as the colors of buildings.

blah blah blah. They're less of an eye sore than the endless rural towns with their entire property covered in junk and old cars.... A quick drive up to Sweet Home and you'll see all you need to see!

My given name is Eugene and my mom was born there but ended up moving to Iow with my grandma and grandpa then to Green Bay my grandma was a truck driver in the 50s

The library is for everyone. It says so on the sign. It’s 82. They should be in air conditioner some of the day.

Hi! It seems like you post a lot of videos in Eugene so I'm assuming you live there or close by, I want to move there from Vancouver wa but as someone who doesn't drive I was wondering if you feel like the city is walkable and accessible for someone without a vehicle. And also if it is safe. I see a ton of people online commenting on other videos about the homeless population and drug addicts downtown and I was wondering if you've ever felt uncomfortable or threatened when walking around, especially downtown. Thanks in advance!

Hi! Eugene does have a high percentage of homeless but in my opinion if you keep to yourself they keep to themselves. If they are responsible for a crime it is most likely bicycle theft, or something like that. I have not walked around at night much so I can't say if that's safe or not... As far as walkability, I would say Eugene is very pedestrian friendly if you are in or near the University and Downtown areas. Further outside of these areas you may need to take the bus. Hi Kalene! I made a couple of videos about the accessibility and unhoused population in Eugene. There's plenty of things to consider, for sure. But as someone who was born and raised here and have helped others relocate, I feel like they aren't a threat. If you're not driving, bikes are a great option too!

You walked away from downtown and this area is mid. Not an area I’d film considering there are way nicer homes and a more active downtown, which is very small.

I am surprised that I do not see any other people walking there. Did you avoid filiming them or do people not walk much in Eugene?

Thanks for watching! No, we have other video of the surrounding areas where people are out. This particular day just happened to be a bit quieter.

Yeah, it looks like they probably chose a week where the city swept up the riff raff for an athletic event or such. Typically what liberal cities do instead of actually addressing the problem.

I was born in De Pere, WI hits Green Bay because there are no hospital's in De Pere
