Hello everyone! I haven't posted many AC Origins videos lately since we have already covered all the locations in the game in first-person view. However, I thought it would be nice to explore some of these locations again in a different perspective, so here is a bit more Ancient Egypt in third-person view. You can check out my previous first-person videos in this playlist: kzfaq.info/sun/PL0md4p3yznb8BBTOU5x1RqurDO7imMHcg. Thanks for your support!

Assassins creed series just captures what I've always imagined from childhood, how did they live in the ancient times. Like the civilizations, the daily routines, architectures, and so on. For a history lover like me, this game captures what I envision those ancient times.

I also like their approach of visualising the times games took place… unfortunately all games came before Unity is utter bullshit about it and I am not saying it due to the era’s tech limitations. I understand the limitations but the mistakes ubi did between AC1-AC:Rogue has nothing to do with tech limitations. The fact that Ezio went to Cappadocia from a ship departed from Istanbul is as realistic as going to Paris or even Berlin from a ship departed from Istanbul. Oh, and let’s not forget character designs (janissaries) and landmarks that was purposefully made wrong. Like there are landmarks that is historically correct in concept art while the game itself is shitting on it
@AlphaOmegaXIII
@AlphaOmegaXIII Жыл бұрын
@@tardelius5778 They probably used this map, because of the Byzantine antangonist,( en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cappadocia#/media/File:Achaemenid_Cappadocia.jpg ), so it seems plausible. its like 500km? The rest can be blamed on technologic limitations at the time. Concept art is almost always more detailed than reality.

I just got the discovery tour and enjoying the visual's but i have to crank it up in 4k and with the resolution scaler up to 140% and AA on high everything else maxed out just to get it to a more standard to my liking on my 3080. Just wish i had a 4090 and crank it up 200% and with a much more better frame rate. Good job this wasn't the actual game my frame rate is between 45 and 50 lol. This runs a lot better than the greece discovery tour

@faduci

AC Origins actually runs in VR with vorpX, but you need an absolut beast of a GPU for decent framerates and acceptable image quality. And since experiencing the gorgeous environments is the whole point of the exercise, having to make serious compromises pretty much spoils it. I bought vorpX esp. to turn Origins into a VR walking simulator, but after a few tests quickly decided that I will wait for my next mayor GPU upgrade before actually using it, as coming from a 4K display the required reduction in quality was brutal, turning beautiful landscapes into a pixely mess. I'd also recommend sticking to discovery mode, as randomly getting attacked by multiple soldiers from several sides at the same time while just walking down the road sightseeing turns out to be extremely confusing in VR.

Eating affecting your health and day power . Hi, since Egypt had a warm to hot climate year round, it wouldnt have been cold except possibly at night. The braziers would have offered some warmth. I tried to play this one, and Odyssey but I just couldn't get it up for this game. I really lost my passion for AC when they turned that corner to more grinding based combat. But I was very pleased to read that they are going in a direction back to the original stealth assassin gameplay. I dont want to learn the entire art of hand to hand combat. I can do that in so many other games. What drew me to this series in the first place were two things: 1) the educational factor- I actually enjoyed finding the lore and reading the history of Italy in the Ezio trilogy and following games. 2) the stealth assassin idea. I want to be able to sneak up and 1 shot a target. If I screw up on the way, that's me. I dont want to go hand to hand with everyone because that is not how a real assassin would operate.

This game looks amazing and is a great grab for a history nut but yeah the gameplay sucks compared to previous games. Personally my favourite would be AC Rogue, BlackFlag, AC3 in order. I still didnt play unity and I have a feeling its gonna add to the favs soon. Syndicate was meh...

It was already grindy since Unity. 1. This game was more faithful to the lore than Rogue, Unity, Syndicate and Odyssey combined. 2. You can still do that in this game though

I haven't played the game, but somehow it seems that the city's architecture style has a Greek influence. Is it placed during the Macedonian invasions or during the reign of the Ptolemaic ?

Just a TINY bit better stone graphics and this would have been insane. A huge part of the beauty of Egypt is their stone and details. The chisel on them is insane.

I don't like AC, but played Origins and Odyssey because of the settings. I haven't played Valhalla because it's boring in comparison. Who cares about England? I would have liked it better if other ancient civilizations had been covered. E.g. Sumer, China, the Maya, Inca.

As much as I liked AC2 when I was young, I can only really see the story past AC1 as a ridiculous mess now. That being said, games like Origins (And AC2) are amazing examples of open world landscape design in games, from the standpoint of lived-in atmosphere and interaction through experiencing this.

@@easyalpha1 I bet it could be engineered to survive quakes. We've likely also lost a LOT of the masonry knowledge to do stuff like this. I read an article a while back that stated that much of what can be seen in New York and older American cities has fallen so far out of use for so long modern masons don't know how to replicate it.

@@gamiensrule they could, reinforce the stone with a steel frame … but also would have to deal with stone ceiling cracking issues…it can be done….its not impossible to preserve intricate stone structures…especially historical ones.

the simplest answer would be cost. Stone masons were specialised people - with very little stone work occuring today. doing this by hand the costs would be even more astronomical - along with the added time it would take. The ancient period i bet they could hand carve something quicker than modern workers could using the same tools. The skills are not widespread enough to make it happen. Also only very rich could afford stone masons so if rich people today dont want a concerted effort for it to happen , it wont happen
