3 жыл бұрынBamberg is a Bavarian town in Germany. The Regnitz and Main rivers meet in Bamberg with several hills around.
The old town of Bamberg is interesting for tourists as buildings from the 11th to 19th century are well preserved. One of the main sights is the iconic muraled Altes Rathaus (town hall), which is located on a small island in the Regnitz and can be reached by arched bridges (as seen in the thumbnail).
On this walk we see the old town, walk up to the Bamberg Cathedral and see more of the city center.

Thank you for sharing this! I have stopped in Bamberg twice during river cruises and this was a refresher -- I had forgotten what a beautiful city it is. Each time I was on the Christmas Market cruse, so it is wonderful to see it at a different time of the year.

The round is complete at 38:00 indeed returning to the point where I started. This way I can cut the rest if there is not much else to see. In the end, walking out of the center, I was thinking to stop a few times and simply went further in the direction of the train station and took another church as the end-point. Not many people will watch that far up until the full hour though it shows some nice area for walks 😎

Little tip: most of the time you walk on the wrong site. People want to pass on the left so you’re supposed to walk on the right.
