Walking in EINDHOVEN / Netherlands - 4K 60fps (UHD)

5 жыл бұрынEindhoven is a lively modern city in the Netherlands while also being one of the oldest towns in the region. Eindhoven was the start for electronics and light giant Philips and has a more industrial character. The city itself isn't on the tourist radar, yet we will have an enjoyable walk around the centre there.
We start at "De Blob" and walk around the (reconstructed) old town streets with plenty of restaurants and shops. The market is especially busy today. We get out of the centre a bit and walk back via the Van Abbe Museum. We see the St. Catherine's Church as one of the main sights in Eindhoven. The walk finishes at the Lichttoren and the Blob where we started - completing the loop.

It's a great city to walk or cycle around, compact city centre area, when I visit I always take time to visit the DAF museum, thanks for the upload.

I seemed like or love to travelled of the natural attraction more than the town, however, Aha! I just think, I 'll love to everywhere have to the tree 🌳🌲🌿🌿(or the flowers or everything of the nature 😊🤗😇😊) thanks! for this video. Yeah! So beautiful country! 👍😍😊

The city is cool and untouristy. There aren't big sights yet it seems fantastic for cycling around. I stopped on the way from Cologne / Düsseldorf to Utrecht in Eindhoven. I'd recommend Utrecht for a day and also Rotterdam as a modern city which is bigger than Eindhoven. I'll post Utrecht and Rotterdam soon - besides Amsterdam and the rest of the Netherlands

@@CityWalks Shame shame shame.You missed the heart of Eindhoven....Strijp-s I studied and lived in Eindhoven and the place to go is Strijp-s Evoluon and the high-tech campus.Come back and do this video again! Strijp-S is the most nice place in Europe where startups,artists and normal people meet.Shame you missed that!Evoluon is the historical heart of Eindhovens DNA.The high-tech campus is the worlds only place where small companies get connected to big giants and share their thoughts.All work together like the Dutch did in VOC times. The video is great but you missed the city's point of being progressive by a mile.If you were not for at least a few hours on Strijp-s you never were really in Eindhoven.In my country that old factory buildings are abandoned.In Eindhoven they bring together all kind of people to start a business and be creative.Again,shame you missed that.Not to you,you missed it.But next time go to Eindhoven and see the GLOW festival.If important,i am on couchsurfing and i live very close in Belgium.

@@user-ih3jb9bm4v I actually went to take some photos of the Evoluon UFO building and slept at a hotel/hostel at Strijp-S. The area is a bit far out of the city and too quiet on a Saturday. Just before the walk I came from the Evoluon, passed the Philips Stadium. There isn't much to see yet with a bicycle it would have been cool, I agree. Maybe another time I do some bike or roller tour. I'll see what works out yet the inner city is closed to bikes. Eindhoven was cool. My 2nd time there.

What inside this Abbe Museum? ; I like parks Eindohven is really a city for me, You have nice building; trees, ways paths, Philips ....But as always affraid of lack of balcony? Have I been in Eindhoven, ?

I lived for 10 years in this city. It is a nice small city that do not have much of touristic interest. It brands itself as the high tech capital of the Netherlands. However, you didn't show places like the city council, the train station and places of banks and offices, you covered much of club scene areas.

Thanks for the info. It was my 2nd time in Eindhoven as I also managed just 1 night on my first visit where I mostly checked the nightlife. I'm sure there are more interesting areas to visit there yet it depends on the weekday I guess. I'll note yours and other viewers suggestions and will see if I can cover them, when I get back. I liked the city just like Netherlands overall. There are many more videos coming of other places of this nice country.

I'm not sure if over 200,000 inhabitants is considered a nice small city in several countries, but yes I think Eindhoven is more pleasant than Amsterdam or Rotterdam. Of course I've been living here for 55 years. And there are places in Eindhoven that I hardly ever visit.
