Garmisch-Partenkirchen is a ski town in Bavaria. The town's name was formed when 2 towns united in 1935. With its beautiful location in the Alps near the Zugspitze (2.962m), Germany's highest peak, Garmisch-Partenkirchen is a popular destination for hiking and winter sports.
We start our walking tour at the Parish Church of St. Martin (Pfarrkirche St. Martin) in the western part of the Garmisch town center. There we see the area and head back towards the Kurpark. Eventually we get to the train station and then walk towards Partenkirchen.
In Partenkirchen we walk along the Ludwigstrasse with several painted houses. This area was skipped on another tour ( • Walking in GARMISCH-PA... ). This time we walk a while before we end this tour.

j'étais à garmisch en1978 et 1979 à hotel pension Flora hauptstrasse 81000 comme cuisinier stagiaire marocain et je n'ai pas pu le voir pendant votre formidable promenade

This is correct. I'm writing the filming date in the video description. As I'm traveling I record many more walks per week than I publish. Instead of publishing like 30 videos of Germany in a row I mix places to keep the channel more diverse and interesting. Revisiting places like Garmisch-Partenkirchen (there is also a video from 2020) shows that cities change rather slowly. This walk mostly shows some different route and the "missing" Partenkirchen part that wasn't possible in fall 2020
