Walking in Lanzarote | Playa Blanca to Puerto Calero. Coastline walking.

During our 2023 - 2024 winter break we walked some 15.5miles from Playa Blanca to Puerto Calero.
Leaving La Asomada (where we were staying) we dropped the car off at Puerto Calero. Got on the 07:50hrs - 161 bus to Playa Blanca and walked back via Papagayo along the coast.
It was hot and very challenging.

Great video. Many thanks! We may walk the couple of miles from Puerto Calero to Puerto del Carmen in October, but the 16 miles to Playa Blanca? I'd think twice about driving that far!

Cheers David. It was a great walk. I have to say, at the end of the walk I said - never again (mainly due to a couple of 'iffy' section). However, now we are back home, I'm thinking differently now. LOLs. Cheers Glad you liked it. James

Despite the challenges, it looks like a great walk with stunning views at every turn. Also, a perfect way to wind up: a nice meal and a drink-which, I’m sure, tasted all the better for having come at the end of your long day! Thanks for being our tour guides! (Also, thanks again for the maps and graphics. Makes it quite easy to orient.)

Hi. Thanks for the video. Am thinking of doing that walk. Can you remember what time you got to Play Quemada? I can chicken out and get a taxi from there!

Hey there, We got into Playa Quemada about 3pm. That said, from there to Puerto Calero is 3k. Good luck and let us know how you fair. Take lots of water.
