On June 25th, 2013, I walked the distance between the Pine Thicket where Thomas A. Jones hid John Wilkes Booth and David Herold, to Huckleberry, Jone's home. In this way, I was duplicating the walk that the trio made on the night of April 20th, 1865. I created this video by combining all of the 10 installments previously posted

We live in southern Indiana . My maiden name is Wilkes ! My family came from Pennsylvania. Supposedly had a China factory ETC. Word has it they hoped a boat n got of at Alton Indiana. Had stores there. I think I heard the factory was invaded during civil War. Don't know bout this except my family did come from Pennsylvania. What a shock that was to learn. Thanks

(6:34) The large tree by the road could very well have existed in Booth's time. At the time of this taping it would have been 148 years since 1865 and the tree could be over 150 years old.

For the people that are commenting on Dave not wanting to walk by the railroad tracks. Did you ever stop to think that maybe the reason he didn’t want to walk the tracks was more out of concern for running into other people that might do him harm? The tracks were hidden behind heavy brush and trees. No one would see him if he ran into any problems. But you just go on ahead and walk in an area where safety might be a concern. Then, maybe, someone can do a you tube video on how you went missing. That might be interesting but probably not as interesting as Dave’s video.

How could somebody be concerned for your safety on some railroad tracks??? You'd have to be beyond stupid to get hit by a train... You'd be more likely to get stopped by the cops for trespassing railroad property. People are dumb.
