Nice to see an upto date video of Celle, street by street. I have been going there for 60 years but the last time was 5 years ago. I've been watching frame by frame to see which are new shops and see if any of my old favourite shops have disappeared. Can hardly believe that the Kammer Lichtspiele is still there. I used to go in the 1960s.

I just came back from celle to visit my old camp trenchard barracks also celle itself I was there in 1978 to 1980 ok only two years but how it's changed all streets in celle are paved kars😢tat closed loved that shop as for the camp it's so overgrown it's a shame the other camp has been bulldozed and no mention anywhere of the army ever being there no monuments that I could see to say that they were there or what regiments from and too but still love the place oh I was born in jever Germany in 1960 my mother was is German just wanted to say

I am going back there to live with my wife. Settling back in the UK was too problematic in the end. Plus my in-laws want us back. Zurück in der Heimat heißt es für meine Frau.

I do not understand your comment. It is still vibrant and just a very nice place to live. The video was taken mid morning during the week, when most people are working, so you only see the young and pensioners about. It is a testimony of just how nice the town is. Safe, relaxed and family friendly.
