So glad I stumble on your video today!!...we are planning to be in Edinburgh after my nephew complete his training program in December. Hope the weather would be good (I know it'll be COLD!!) for us to have a walk around Leith.

Thanks for watching. You’ll enjoy Leith. It has bags of character, great history and loads of wonderful places to eat. The weather here can be very unpredictable. It can be much milder in December than people imagine, but as long as the sun’s out it’ll be fab👍 Best wishes, David 🙂

We are visiting Edinburgh in June for a few days, was going to get the tram down to leith to visit the Royal yacht britania. Watching this we are sold ❤

Another realy interesting video David, I'm just begining to realise how little I know about the city I live in. I realy enjoyed all the views, and seeing some of the very grand old buildings, I had no idea about the steam ship or the expedition ship, I recently visited Leith dock area and was pleasantly surprised at its transformation and to see the Fingal looking very grand, I realy enjoyed seeing all the photographs of areas in Leith, I'd no idea there is, so much to see

Perhaps you might know , where the men who survived ww2 , were housed , in Edinburgh so that they could study . my dad, a kiwi soldier, who survived stalag 11A in Germany, came to Edinburgh and began a career in diesel engineering , He had such great memories of Leith , that he named his 8th and final child after that town. I just wondered , was there some history about ww2 Returned soldiers and Edinburgh hospitality , ,Perhaps a boarding house? Thankyou . ❤nz

How do you go from centre of edimburg to leith ?? Thanks!!

Hi Marcel, you can board a tram from Princes Street in the city centre and get off at Constitution Street at the foot o' the walk. Hope this helps and you enjoy your visit to Leith. Best wishes, David
