Thank you for your video Paul, Sanctuary Wood has a special place for us as my wife's Great Grandfather was killed returning from trench repair work at Sanctuary Wood on the night of 4th July 1915. He is buried in Bedford House Cemetery, we visit him once or twice a year and read him a poem and lay a cross of remembrance "lest we forget"

Fabulous video Paul, really appreciate these videos. One of my favorite places on the battlefields. The story of Gilbert Talbot and formation of Toc H is fascinating. A Haven in Hell such a good book about Talbot House.

Thanks Paul, I first visited Talbots grave at Sanctuary wood back in Oct 2008. A day before I'd visited Talbot House itself for the first time. When I signed the large book that was half full of visitors in the entrance hall, the man working there turned back to page 1 to show me the first entry, and it was that of Harry Patch who'd been there just a month or so before me, the last soldier from the trenches to ever visit the western front. I now feel greatly honoured that my name in that same visitors book. Thanks for the video my friend.

My grandfather had his left arm 'shreaded by shrapnel', in the Autumn/winter of 1917. He was in the West Yorkshire regiment...
