Your motorcyclist is very brave. He has taken a very challenging route. He deserves high appreciation. I understand from the people who have passed through Rohtang La that unlike much higher mountain passes such as Chang La and Khardung La, the weather is very fickle and unpredictable. Sudden rains or snowfall are common. Sometimes proceeding further becomes impossible and travellers cancel the journey. Many thanks for the painstakingly made video.

@@carpediem1689 1. if you want to do a bike ride then, you are advised to take your own bike for the whole journey from your home and not the rented one from Manali or any other city because the biker union in leh Ladakh can stop you in any of their checkpoints and you'll be barred from using that particular bike for any further Leh Sightseeing. They will permit you to go only if you have your own bike or rented from there itself. (JK 10 Numbered plate) 2. The cost will depend upon your own discretion. Riders have done Manali-Leh-Manali anywhere between 30-35k INR. (Food, petrol, accomodation) 3. People have also done a Bus trip from Manali to Leh and then rented the bike from there for Leh-Ladakh region sightseeing. This will cut your cost significantly.

Enjoy your trip but try to avoid the monsoon period as you won't get a good view because of the clouds.

If you are a bike rider then choose rohtang pass route. Its full of off roada and twists and is really fun plus the beauty before Sissu is brilliant. If you are a tourist in a car then choose tunnel to save time to see more places in your trip.

Maine Rohtang tunnel wala raasta toh nahin dekha, par Rohtang pass wale raste se bahut baar gaya hoon. Aisa sundar illaqa maine aur nahin dekha, chahe main kaafi ghooma hoon, Himachal mein bhi aur doosari jaghon par bhi.

One feedback - When you turned towards Rohtang Pass from Palchan, that turn was not covered properly. Plus, fast timelapse took away the beauty. You should give viewers proper time to see and understand the route.

Yha boundary dekar glaciers pani ko store karna hai bahut hi dur tak aur dranged systems jaise hone se pani neche ke tarf honga aur weekly ponds ke tarf dhkelna hai pine ke pani ya rivers ke lie baad mein abhi Maximus storage drinking water nshi hai

I would prefer rohtang pass...yrr agar aap bullet se jaa rhe ho orr rohtag ki roads ka experience nhi kia to frr himachal jaane ka matlb isse bettr to fr aap ghar ke bahar waali road pe bike chala lo.....rohtang se guzarna ek life tym experience hota hai.....
