I found myself divided about equally between awe at the skill displayed here and laughing uncontrollably at the sheer joy and silliness. Took me a minute to catch that the safety helmet cymbal was being played by the ... springy thing on the end of the banjo. Absolutely loved this and needed it this morning. Thank you.

Now I gotta re-watch and look for that. I thought maybe the guy with brushes would use it, but he was totally out of position. There was a moment when I thought, hey keep that banjo under control, you're gonna hit the girl! He must have been playing the cymbal then

Sarah has such incredible range and texture to her voice, and Gianni can match her and even do high harmony above the top of her range... they are amazing musicians and wonderful human beings. I sometimes feel like Charles De Lint based a couple of his most beloved characters on them, and they are only sojourners in this world because we mundanes needed the blessing of their talent and wisdom in these troubled times. I sometimes feel you,Meran and Cerrin Kelledy.

It's crazy how pretty much every member in the band can masterfully play multiple instruments. Joel, who's normally the drummer, is playing the banjo in this video. Gianni, who's mostly on either the guitar or piano, is on the drums. And Tokyo.... well.... Tokyo seems to do just about anything and everything the band needs him to do. Crazy talent and a testament to just how much they really love their craft. 🔥❤️🙌🏼

That's actually not a banjo. It's a banjo body with a guitar fretboard and tuning. Traditional bluegrass banjo has 5 strings, and it's played in the Scruggs style. Joel is basically just playing a guitar that has a banjo resonance to it. Still talented, though.

Just found this, catching up on WOTE, and watched it 3 times in the space of an hour. As usual, musicianship and vocals absolutely on point, but it's the joy and humour that make it unforgettable. Will be watching again when I feel a bit low. Bluegrass and G'n'R is a combo that was begging for attention, and no group could do it better.

I was a firefighter. Many years ago, my fire Chief and I were watching a Chinook helicopter land. I remarked how much I loved seeing them, as they had saved me in a tight spot on a fire a few years before. My Chief, David Gibbs, had been a US Marine, Force Recon during the Viet Nam War. His memories were very different from mine, and the look on his face as he watched that helicopter land told me all I needed to know about his thoughts and memories.

I loved it every cotton-picking minute of it period and I'm not so sure it was bluegrass but all I can say is it was wonderful. I'm an old rock and roller and a classic rock and roll music lover yeah that grew up on country music and bluegrass yet I learn to love all genres of music. I've even played drums and still play guitars to this day and at the age of 65 that has become difficult with arthritis. And there's nothing more enjoyable than listening to young people playing songs from the past and putting a new spin on it and giving their style to it. I love it. Can't wait to hear more.👍❤🎶🎼

Together with you, I have instilled in my son a love of music since his birth in 2013. He showed how you can be creative. And he got a lot from you. Now he goes to a music school and we play with him together. When he was little, Sarah even went to the page in the intagram and liked him. Thank you for your energy. I love you guys!
