How many people know that this was actually taken from a deleted scene from the movie? Eve was the one who was hurt, but very late in development did the movie creators decide to have Wall E himself be the one to suffer an injury. But by then, I'm assuming that the game had already been finished, or the developers didn't have enough time to change it. It's kind of strange seeing the story play out this way.
