+Thomas Bridges I use a medium floater with a #1 or #2 hook. You'll see several good brands two I often use are Northland or Maumee Tackle.

Thomas Bridges if you are on a budget and looking into fishing the river, I would get an ugly stik gx2 because they are only 50 dollars for a rod and reel and I'd get the 7'6 medium heavy for walleye the rod is very durable looks nice and is sensitive, I'd pair it up with 10 pound powerpro braid

I agree with everything you said except the name. Carolina rigs are slip sinkers not inline.

The slip weight on a Texas rig touches the bait. The slip weight on a Carolina rig stops where the leader starts.

When fish are spawning in a river they will hit just about anything. Including a bare hook.

Don't eat these walleye coming out of the Maumee river or Sandusky river.. very unsafe taste nothing like walleye should.. but they do have a great bait store
