Geeze, Wallie, you and Kayla treat each other like crap!!!!! Nah, I'm kidding. Sarcasm is obviously your love language, and I'm totally here for it. My husband and I are the same way lol! As for that Golden Chick, I've never heard of that chain, but I do love me some chicken! (And I say 'taters' too, lol.) And I have to say, that place is IMMACULATE. You said they'd been closed 2 years, but honestly, I'd have believed you if you said they'd never opened in the first place! Not even a speck of dust on the counter, or a smudge on the floor. I wonder if they've been in there cleaning, in preparation to open up as something else? That could explain the clean floor, and even the running ceiling fans, if maybe they just redid the floor. And the fans probably help in keeping the humidity from damaging the building, keeping the air moving like that. Maybe? I dunno, just speculation. I just know I have NEVER seen an abandoned place SO clean!

I've never been in the Acton area, but I'm actually not surprised this location closed because by the look of it along with the almost barren area that looks like it's in the middle of nowhere, it was definitely NOT a good location at all. There is very little to no buildings close to it and it looks barren as well. If a restaurant wants to make money, they at least need to be in a good location where there is a decent amount of buildings, in a plaza area, outlet, or in tourist heavy areas, because something like this will NOT make a restaurant stay open. This location imo was a bad one from the get-go.

Yooo wallieee great memories at golden chick with my grandma at the location in Georgetown Texas we always loved their seasoned fries now it’s a kolachi place now over on power road Georgetown Texas across from a bbq joint I forgot the name but had some delicious food also the golden chick was at the entrance to my grandmas neighborhood

That location sure didn't last long! I shopped at that David's grocery store quite a bit when my grandpa still lived there. There was another restaurant called Pam's Too closer to the intersection going into Acton, we used to eat breakfast there a lot. Seems like it now closed as well.

We had Golden Chick in Lubbock but the franchise owner dropped the ball. They closed after maybe six or nine months. Chicken and sides was far less than stellar. Chicken Express is better than that.
