I use Drawing Board pins (three works for me) and pin the edge to the ceiling and carefully let the paper dangle. Then you can move the platform by hand.

Hi Spencer, in general as regards to pasting and booking would you paste more than one sheet or one at a time.. I ask because I trained as a painter many years ago, but never managed to get into the hanging side of things, I just remember paper hangers pasting 3 sheets at a time (by the time the 3rd was pasted the 1st was ready to hang, but does this ring true?

It’s an excellent question and here is your answer: 1. Only paced as many as you can handle at a time… This differs from one person to the next… Secondly, the instructions will tell you how long each sheet should soak in the paste; if it’s only five minutes, usually it’s going to take you longer than five minutes to hang one sheet of wallpaper, depending on the length of the wall and other factors. But if you can hang a sheet of wallpaper in seven minutes or so, I would think you would be good to paste two at a time this way you will expedite the entire process and you will be happy by the end of the day
