100mbps ethernet port, but the new 4k pro Onn does have Doby Vision and Atoms , the non pro version doesn't have Dolby

No doubt a great contender! I have the Fire Cube 3rd gen after MANY Firesticks and it has been nothing but GREAT for me! I have older hardware and being able to control everything by voice or routines is the total bomb! The picture up-scaling/enhancing plus the audio features with the Octa-core processor make it very hard to beat IMO. Tried as few Android boxes as well.

Just picked one up for $49.88. This thing is on par with the Fire TV Cube 3rd Gen for less than half the price. I think a lot of people will buy it just for the remote finder button. Even include the little things like the batteries and the HDMI cord.

I have the Onn 2022 4k box I paid $20 for and it's a great box better than the fire stick but I ended up treating myself to the 3rd Gen dire cube which I love but eventually I'll have to update from that device and the new Onn 4k Pro will be that device especially since amazon is changing there software so we won't be able to side loads apps & apks $50 is a great deal.

As someone who is in the market for a new tv (it will be a smart tv, but I plan to dumb it down) and a new streaming device (I have a Roku Premiere+, but don't want to use anything with the roku name anymore, including their smart tv O/S), this Onn Pro is something I will be looking at.

If you're going to be using a VPN on a streaming device, then you're going to need a fast processor. The encryption used by a VPN substantially taxes the the device's resources causing slower streaming speeds and buffering. A faster / high quality processor isn't just for gaming. It's essential if you're using a VPN and want to abate buffering. This is likewise true if you install your VPN service on the router instead. This is my first consideration when shopping for a streaming device or a new router. I sometimes wonder if engineers take this into consideration when designing a new device.

No way to tell exactly when your local stores will get them. Just keep checking your local Walmart Stores. I have three Walmart stores in my area and none have them yet.

Lets wait and see if the onn box pro plays all versions of dolby vision and atmos. The firestick 4k max advertises the dv...but doesnt play certain styles with non amazon apps. If onn box pro plays them....the firestick is officially dead!! Until next year when Amazon smartens up and puts out a 4gb device that plays all dv and atmos..and drops the extra charges for dolby atmos support on their official apps on the prime account's. And then after that...the competition ramps up yet again!! Round and round we go.

3GB of ram really does not offer a ton of value in this case. This has been proven through AFTV news benchmark test. Yes the 32GB of storage is nice. I think it needs to be tested before we call it king ;)

@@UpgradeGuyTech 3GB is better than 2GB any day. That's 50% greater.Everybody so far that has used it in their demo gives it high marks and are very impressed with it's performance. You haven't even experienced it as yet but you seem to be a lil bias because it's an Onn box. Just saying.

Fire stick 4k max has wifi 6e, the ONN only has wifi ac.. o would think if you are streaming 4k via WiFi, you want the fastest WiFi you can get

ALL Fire products will soon be having the current OS wiped and replaced with Amazon's own Linux OS!... Which means anyone who had previously sideloaded the Google Play store or other third party apps will have all of that ERASED.

@@canadaphil6068 I find it highly doubtful that Amazon will be attempting to 'wipe' the entire FireOS of all existing Android devices! That would be essentially changing the device completely from the one you make a conscious decision to purchase (as opposed to something else). Such a move would definitely be justification for a major flood of lawsuits. This type of move goes far beyond their recent restricting of on-board 'adb settings' (which could be seen as more legally justifiable ... though definitely 'weasel-ish' behavior).

Meh, I would rather use a wired connection anyway, so Wifi 6 vs 6e doesn't do anything for me. Now if they would have included a Gigabit Ethernet port, I would be more impressed. With the lackluster performance benchmarks shown on AFTV News, I am going to pass on this box for now. If the performance benchmarks improve with the next firmware release, then I may re-evaluate things.

READ THIS BEFORE BUYING / AS OF RELEASE DATE!!!!!! 1. DTS HDMA 7.1 Atmos NOT supported! 2. Dolby True HD NOT supported! 3. Only 100mps Ethernt Port. 4. Build in speaker DOESN'T support music playback, turns on tv to use it's speaker. 5. Backlit remote is not guaranteed, included with some units & not with others.
