A few simple tricks when preparing this baklava, everything is so simple and success in its preparation is guaranteed.
Ingredients ;
500 g baklava dough sheets, 500 g ground walnuts, 0.5 l oil
sugar dressing;
750 g sugar, 0.5 g water, 1 lemon
sugar dressing;
- Bring 0.5 l water and 750 g sugar to the boil
- Due to the shape of the pasta, we recommend choosing a square pan
- Halve the dough sheets
- Oil the pan
- Place 3 sheets of dough on the base
- ground walnuts (Trick 1. Without sugar there are no sugar lumps)
- then three more sheets of dough
- In the meantime the dressing has boiled
- Cut the lemon into slices and add it to the boiling water
- Remove to cool
- Repeat the process when preparing.
Alternately lay out 3 sheets of dough, then a layer of ground walnuts
- My choice when buying instant noodles in Bosnia are these Jami brands
- Finally, lay out 3 sheets of puff pastry
- Pour the oil evenly over the baklava (Trick 2. Oil doesn't burn the baklava leaves, butter does)
- Bake in a well-preheated oven at 180°C for 30-40 minutes. depending on the oven
- Cover the hot baklava with the cooled icing
- Cover the baklava with a clean “wet” cloth (Trick 3. The leaves don’t twist)
- Ideally serve cold baklava until the next day
