Make the traditional, syrupy and delicious walnut pie, flavored with cloves and cinnamon.
Recipe ingredients
200 gr. Sugar
200 gr. Fine semolina
50 gr. Flour, o.s.
2 tbsp Baking powder
4 eggs
250 gr. Nuts
50 gr. Seed oil
2 Vanillins
1 tbsp Cinnamon
1/2 tsp. Cloves
1 pinch of salt
Zest of 1 Lemon
2 tbsp Cognac
For the syrup
500 gr. Water
500 gr. Sugar
1 Cinnamon Stick
Peels from 1 Lemon
Execute recipe
Put 4 Eggs in a large bowl
200 gr. Sugar
Beat for about 7-8 minutes, so that it is done
thick cream and whiten the mixture
In another bowl, put 200 g. fine semolina
50 gr. Flour
2 tbsp Baking powder
1 tbsp Cinnamon
1/2 tsp. Cloves
1 pinch of salt
2 Vanillins
Mix and add the solid ingredients,
in the beaten eggs with the sugar
Add the zest of 1 lemon
2 tbsp Cognac
50 gr. Seed oil
In a blender, beat the walnuts to the desired size
250 gr. Nuts and add them to the mixture
Mix gently with a spatula until the ingredients are incorporated
Pour the mixture into a 25 cm diameter pan after buttering it
Bake in a preheated oven at
170°C in air for 40 - 50 minutes
Pour the cold syrup into the warm walnut pie
or hot syrup on cold walnut pie
Leave the dessert in the pan for about 1 hour until
to absorb all the syrup
Sprinkle with grated walnuts
Cut into pieces and serve
For the syrup
Put 500 gr. water
500 gr. Sugar
1 Cinnamon Stick
Peels from 1 Lemon
Boil on medium heat for 4 - 5 minutes
until the sugar melts
