That guy standing behind Walter and Donald in the middle deserved a lifetime achievement Grammy (he won a Grammy for best engineered record for Two Against Nature). Roger Nichols is the single greatest recording engineer of all time. Every stereo equipment store you walk into has Steely Dan on the turntable or in the CD machine to demonstrate systems. You can hear every single friggin' instrument, and there were a lot of them on those Dan albums.

Great to see Elliott Scheiner out there with the guys! Elliot is perhaps the greatest recordist, mastering engineer in the biz. I was lucky as a ten year old to be allowed into A&R Recording Studios back in the late 60's early seventies when Elliot was recording James Brown. Elliot's then beautiful wife Denise was my Dad's Executive assistant at his Commercial Production firm on 49th St. I consider myself very lucky to have witnessed Elliot at work up close.

Yeah because the MMLP is widely recognized as one of the greatest hip hop projects of all time, which influenced the majority of the 2000s to 2010s rap scene to innovate it to being one of the biggest genres of music today in the United States. Whereas, Two Against Nature is arguably Steel Dan's worst project, did nothing for the genre of rock, with minimal influence towards the future. Plus the MMLP is a certified diamond record, that sold 21 million copies in relation to the million copies that Steely Dan sold. So yeah Eminem fans have the right to be mad over Steely winning, as do Radiohead fans because Kid A was a record that was infinitely better than two against nature, that actually did something for rock in the 2000s. Two against nature is no aja I'm sorry.

Kid A, Amnesiac, and TKoL Just never clicked and Eminem will forever be bad to me because the people I knew that worshipped him in middle and high school made it impossible for me to like him Edit: Radiohead grew on me greatly, I love those albums now, particularly Kid A.
