In this University of Pennsylvania program, Walter Isaacson, president and CEO of the Aspen Institute, discusses the life of one of Americas most influential figures: Benjamin Franklin. In his recent book, "Benjamin Franklin: An American Life," Isaacson reveals the personal life of Benjamin Franklin and all the intricate details of this revolutionary leaders life that have made him unique among a group of leaders. The presentation was given at the School of Arts and Sciences at the University of Pennsylvania.

Benjamin Franklin was truly a genius, (polymath) recognized as such at home and abroad, in his own time and still today. He dabbled in many things, but also mastered them-philosophy, electricity, diplomacy-and shaped his world and ours. Most geniuses, had down time, Franklin didn't he was always developing new ideas, concepts! The Atlantic currents, he discovered, shipping from England!

One of Mr. Franklin's most famous quotes was "In this world nothing can be said to be certain, except death and taxes." Of course in this day and age he would have edited to "In this world nothing can be said to be certain, except death, taxes, and being screwed by a lawyer."

'O.G.' = 'Original Gangster' - A term coming from West Coast gang culture denoting the older, wiser gangster who has survived and proved themselves in gang warfare. Since they're experienced, the OG is respected and often acts as a mentor to younger gangsters, a negotiator, an organizer, and (depending on the situation) even a community leader. However, outside of the hood (i.e. on youtube), the term 'O.G.' is just a sign of respect basically used as an ironic placeholder for 'true legend'.

Have you read Ben Franklin's biography? It says that he became a Deist, which is still a form of Christianity, and believed heartily in doing good works on earth for the glory of God. Before you troll innocent people, you should do your research. Just because you don't believe in God doesn't mean you have to be so rude to others.
