Canadian businessman Walter Wolf bought Lamborghini and Frank Williams Racing Cars in the 1970s, he also bought the remnants of Hesketh and Embassy Hill... to build Walter Wolf Racing, a team which won on its debut with Jody Scheckter and could have easily turned out to be the original Brawn GP story in F1!

I love these videos, I always learn something. It also makes you realise how well Ferrari & McLaren did to survive as well because they weren't winning every year either!

History is so fragile, even though we see it as being so concrete now! Ferrari could have fallen off the grid had it not been bought up by Fiat. It's why I love F1 history anyway. Really cool stories 🤣

Wow! What would you say your most vivid memory of the race was? Am intrigued as it's nice hearing other people share their experiences.

@@MattGP01 I remember being with my dad, quite special. He has been gone about 12 years now, so times like this a special memories. Most of crowd, there were about 50000 there, were starting to head for their cars, was a hard place to get out of then. The announcer came on the PA yelling that the car was going to win, whoever was leading blew up or something and the Wolf came down back straight and thru esses to cross line 1st. Long time ago now and I don't remember all the details, just the pride we all felt. Saw both Wolf's and Wolf sports car at St Jovite years ago too. There in the rain once and the Wolf and Cheeta were throwing rooster tails sky high on straight in front of pits, awesome sight.
