I have pulled the trigger on this at last after much thought. Its quite an expensive hatchet on UK import from Germany including P&P at virtual 1:1 Euro exchange rates. I like the look of the hammer feature at the poll. I am looking for a light, tough carry for day hikes and overnight wild camps. The blade looks good for cutting and splitting. Being coated and with a synthetic handle it should be weatherproof. Not sure what carbon steel its made of but they say it takes and holds an edge. The sheath looks functional. I hope it wont disappoint. Very aesthetically pleasing. Cool.
