I just bought a CZ 27 a couple weeks ago ( my second one I’ve had)and took it out and shot it without cleaning it and it jammed a lot. Then I cleaned it real good and left it lubed up and shot it again a couple of weeks later and it had zero malfunction ! Also I brought my Walther pp along and shot it too and it did stovepipe once, but other wise good! The first CZ 27 I had shot great no problems that I can ever remember hence the reason I wanted another one besides liking 32 autos!

They are good guns generally, I have mixed experiences with mine. Sometimes it’s my smoothest operating .32 and sometimes I’m fighting jams the whole time. Seems to be no rhyme or reason

@@GreatNorthwestWeaponry yea I don’t use the CZ 27 for carry but just for to have and shoot and keeps sake. Also I think .32 ammo varies a lot. I use Remington ammo because it’s available right now and says it shoots at around 900 FPS so not so hot for a .32 but seems to work.

Great vid as always, thank you Thomas. I got one would highly highly recommend new sets of springs for both pistols. My Luger jammed frequently until I replaced them with new ones. Replace the springs, keep the originals in a bag should the pistol ever go to a new home. Shooting them with with springs can actually cause excessive wear and even damage. Just my two cents!

@@GreatNorthwestWeaponry 👍 Production of steel springs is a very complex technical process. Not always in history, the best materials were used. I know the example of the locking spring of the MG 42. The original way of manufakturing is lost. Especialy heat treatment. In the Austrian Army we had this MG up to the nineties. . And also modern copies from Steyr. (MG74) For the originals we never needed spareparts. The springs of the new MG74 had to be repaced regularly. (Sorry, bad Englisch). Greetings from 🇦🇹 PS: If you have an oportunity to get a CZ 38, take it.

@Ameya Vikram Singh If it is consistently jamming the best thing you could do is try and find a new recoil spring for it, check EBay, Liberty Tree Collectors, GunBroker and Numrich Gun Parts. If you can’t find one there just keep checking, one may pop up sooner or later

Interesting comparison but a bit like apples to oranges. The CZ is a single action while the PP is double action. That’s a significant difference in overall performance and handling but that was not touched on here. Rather than just comparing accuracy I’d like to see how each gun does in a combat or self defense situation. PP vs Mauser HSc would be a great comparison with the two German DA rivals facing off.

@@GreatNorthwestWeaponry definitely on the point of aim! Can’t hardly beat it! I have both of these pistols . I actually think the recoil was snappier on the CZ. Maybe the Walter ergonomics are just that much better! I also have a beretta 81 12 rounder . It has less recoil than both CZ n Walther but again getting back to point of aim is best with Walther.

@@GreatNorthwestWeaponry I think, especialy here in Europe, the concept of police - guns was the use against unarmed persons, not for firefights. Here in Austria, police-officers beside a. 32 gun ( Steyr Kipplauf) carried saber and rubber-baton as primary tools, up to the 1930er years. Sometimes german police forces and especialy prison guards even used cal. 6.35 guns. (the Ortgies)

Nice video and impressive math skills. My pp has yet to misfire though ive only had it for three years and havent shot it a lot. It shoots very accurately. As a CZ fan it was disappointing to see all the jams. My Cz 83 and 75 rarely jam but i would not go to a pistol shoot with the 83. Its not very accurate.
