This was the first gun i owned and I loved it he didn't talk bout a special feature the trigger has you can pull the trigger halfway and it the triggers will stay there.

Walther makes damn good guns, the P99 was always my favorite. The PPS is a nice shooting micro 9 too I really like the way Walthers feel in the hands with the ergonomics

I did not know this, it makes me kind of sad honestly. One of my favorite pistols since I got into firearms, particularly with the rocking trigger guard mag release.

I used to love the walther airsoft pistols as a kid. And that Baretta 92 airsoft pistol was awesome how it broke down like the real thing. I tinkered with those two a lot as a kid, in my 20s enlisting in the army just kind of made sense. Finally getting my hands on a real Baretta was fun as hell, childhood memories and shit

I have 2 gen 1 p99s. I bought them because of pierce brosnan as james bond. Great guns

P99 is still in use as a standard issue German cop service weapon. Quite some states are moving over to H&K SFP9, P2000, P30 and P10 with some specials in between. While still using MP5s as the standard automatic gun in many places. Police in the state of Bavaria is switching to SCAR-L though. But those are rarely seen, as that much firepower doesn't get used for a whole lot of occasions. As a comparison: German police as a whole fired their pistols (at a person) roughly 50 times a year. Of course more if you count in shooting injured deer and things like that.

I bought this Walther P99 same color a brown two tone except I got mine in the more rare .40 cal in 1999 when I turned 21 I was able to walk in and buy the 2 pistols at Sportsman's Warehouse Springfield XD in .45 was my 2nd choice because it held 15 rounds of .45 caliber!!! I loved them both but I carried the Walther P99 FOREVER, 23 years off and on I literally just sold my Walther P99 the beginning of 2023 so only 6-7 months I sold it for $550 and my good friend said what and was saying he can go buy a new one for that well I paid $750 plus tax in 1999! He looked up the pistols and seen it was a vood deal I had 5 magazines for him with ammo. I got the Sig P365 X Macro and have carried the XL then the OG P365 before that. I carry a Springfield Elite 3.8 in 10mm in the Winter and September fpr bears while I archery hunt for elk in Oregon & Washington State there's TONS of bears out here in the Pacific Northwest! 2 years ago I ran into 24 Black Bears and 7 of them were Sows with cubs all of them had 2 & 3 cubs except 1 of the females had 1 cub, if it was hers, she was trying to lose this baby bear cub if it was hers and good thing she wasn't close with this cub because I was the closest to this Sow then any of the others, I hear bushes moving and me thinking it was an elk I had snuck close to it and then I seen it was a Black Bear digging under a small wood pile after a bees nest well they were stinging the baby and mom so she took off with a fast trot and she went right by me about 20 feet and I was hiding behind a nice fat christmas tree and she didn't know I was there and she ran fast across this massive clear cut and some of the logs the baby couldn't jump up had to go the loooong way around and mom was not slowing down, she sounded like a truck driving through this clear cut woth the baby making loud crying noises it didn't slow her down she kept going full speed, it was a very very hot day, she was about 200 yards from a nice cold mountain creek but after that I saw another Sow pop out from under a log about 200 yards away in the middle of the warm day the mom laid on her back and got comfy and gave the all clear to the cubs so they started olaying on mom using her as a big play ground, biting her ears, feet and she just sat there and took it until one of them decided to bite mom's boob, id imagine they were sore from teeth coming in and she just reacted and flung her baby cub like 15 feet lol she got up and went and checked on the baby to make sure the cub wasn't hurt lol itbwas fine and back to playing and I snuck out of there, I was actually with my kids mom so she got to see some cool stuff.

I just like collecting Bond guns. Try finding a Walther P5!! I have the SW99 and the then finally got the P99 a few years later. If you understand the principle of why it was designed a certain way, you’ll appreciate the genius behind it. The pre Final Edition examples are fetching upwards of a thousand dollars in some places. The Final Edition is very cool, but if you can grab one from before the final edition it’s considered more desirable. If you intend to shoot it, get a final edition version. Put your good P99 in the pelican case.

I challenge anyone to find a better grip, trigger, slide release and mag release than the last of the P99s. Your grip does not change during reloads, the trigger in the double/single esque style is incredible as well. I truly believe they failed at marketing these and its a mistakeamd shame to discontinue them. I thought the 92fs would never be beat for my favorite handgun, but the P99 has done it.

Let's be honest here. Everyone who watched James Bond and the OGs their signature pistol will always be the Walther PPK But the ones who's childhood James Bond is Pierce Brosnan It will always be the Walther P99

I was in a LE pistol class and a guy had one of those brand new. This was when they just came out. Everyone was oohing and ahhing over it. About 3rd magazine into the class his guide rod broke in half and the gun was down. 😳 All of us were shocked and most of us stuck with the guns we already had afterwards. I’ve been primarily Glock since 1993. I do have a PPQ though.

Loved my P99 before trading it, and still carry a PPS M1 as my concealed. That P99 was more comfortable in my hand than any pistol i've had since, but factory or Mecgar mags were really a pain to find for a decent price
