Because people's choices in music suck! I'm glad they are underrated. Makes them even cooler, they will melt your fucking face!

Fame does not equal success, which I'm learning more and more as I get older. Bands like WAND are miles above some of their mainstream contemporaries. But what does it matter? As long as they are making music and some of us are consuming it and trumpeting their name, we all win! It just means if you meet someone who likes WAND you automatically can vouch for them being an interesting person.

It’s no longer about how good your band is like it was in the 60s through 90s. Now it’s about how popular/rich you are. If you can afford the publicity you can shove whatever you want down everyone’s throats. Meanwhile there are bands out there like Wand who get about .003% of the attention they deserve.... it’s really sad.

One of the best bands I've seen live in over 30+ years of going to gigs. I love Corey and Evan is an outstanding drummer, mesmerising to watch, but the whole band are great.. A fantastic choice of songs, one of the best KEXP sessions yet!

Abysmal, crunching tone transforms seamlessly into something melodic and other-wordly. Not many can pull off what I've just heard, and even less in such an effortless and natural fashion. This video alone made me buy tickets to the only gig on the books in Chicago. Never before have I been sold so fast on a band. Impressive performance from these guys!

(@2:08 finally someone uses the rhythm circuit on a JM in the most productive way possible live) This band comes from the past and the future at the same time - they make me happy and sad at the same times well as apart ... sometimes changing those feelings so quickly in a moment that I fall over onto the bottom of the highest place in the unknown universe, only to slide all the way back down to the empyrean point before doing it all over again.

i saw this 8 years ago. and the word "youser" stuck with me and i use it everyday. i even forgot over the years where i got it. i just know "an interview or something on youtube".... i'm so happy i came back to this after almost a decade hearing the word YOUSER :D hahahahahah my favourite man! i really hope i can perform on that baldwin or in iceland one day! Saw them at a Swiss festival in the middle of the moutains 4 or 5 years ago. It was incredible. Must be the 15th time I watch this kexp session, I will never get tired of it

fucking epic, goosebump inducing opening song, oh my god. what a moment. I interviewed Cory about two months after this in Vancouver outside the Commodore. What a talented guy. Love this band.

Caught these guys live in London @ the Dome last month, and all I can say is now I appreciate them a lot more. This session is awesome but see them live if you can :-)
