Every time I hear this song; I'm transported to a hill in Ireland. I have never been there, but I know it is real and it exists. Overlooking a town, along the western coast. This hill has a gnarled old tree, that twists towards the edge of the hill. The town is a small sea side town, resting in a valley along the edge of the sea. It's hidden, nestled in wedged between the hills and the coast. The houses of the town are painted white, such a white that almost causes the houses to glow in the sunlight. The roofs are all variations of greens and reds. Every time this song takes me there. To a home I've only known in my heart

Bear, I doubt you'll ever see this, but jesus christ are you one of the best composers of our age. I just cannot get over the way you fuse so many genres and instruments together into pieces that sound so obvious in retrospect, but no one else seems to be doing. This piece just solidifies for me how great your music is and it makes me want to watch anything you compose for.

Binge watch this show almost every winter. Prior to BSG, I was the typical Trekie. Wish the last season could have been stretched out just a little more, but all the loose ends came together well.

I'm irish, I speak gaelic, and I think the singer doesn't know what he's singing. He can't even say "go deo" correctly! (it's easy, just gotta hear somebody saying "Eire go deo") Anyway, i sung that song at my gdad's funerals (with translations for english speakers cause not everybody understands irish in my family, or barely). Nobody knew it was from BSG, and I was like "best song for the best series for the best man i've ever met". I wish someone would do the same for me at my funerals, like playing the Colonial Anthem, or sing Wander My Friends, or just have a beer on my grave saying even dead i'm still alive. Anyway, great work dude, i bought your album and it's so great !

Now, I want to go back and binge-watch this series. And, listen again to the magic of Bear's music which is as much the story as the story itself.
