Have you tried using TP link Vigi NVR to connect these Tapo cameras which are ONVIF compatible and see if that works on both NVR as well as Tapo app? I am looking at setting this up to work with both Tapo App obviously which has great customizable options as well as NVR if I could. I am not sure if I can do that or not. I assume may be not but wanted to check and see if you have tried or have any suggestions? I am primarily wanting to use Tapo App for these Cameras and as a backup also want to be able to record on HDD. Can I do that both simultaneously?

@@msb46688 I have not tested these cameras with an NVR setup. I am not to that point yet with my home camera needs, but I getting there.

Update..Have now set up this camera on outside wall for last week, SO impressed, works flawlessly on 2K and AI person mode, colour is fabulous at night...😊😊

I have found it to be the case. I love this camera and its low light video.

Sadly nothing is ever going to be 100% tamper proof. However, chances are if your other cameras were Jammed it was the wifi that was disrupted. This camera has the option to be wired to your router meaning it is much harder to disrupt the picture to this camera then one that works only over wifi.

I would love for TAPO to bring out a PoE camera in the future because I would prefer just one app to keep for all my cctv needs and the other devices I have with them such as the smart plug socket. @@FrozenWillow1980 If you are willing to spilt your smart home between two different vendors, Reolink makes some pretty good cameras. They have several that do PoE if that is a must for you. If not you might need to wait longer for Tapo to do it. Most of the time PoE is seen more of as a high end user camera as most just starting off are not looking for that kind of option.

I did wish it was a little neater. But beside that it is a solid camera.

Tapo you need to be on the same wifi network to download the videos from this camera. The other party does get notifications. For Wyze you don't need to be on the same network and you will get notifications. This is without a fee for either camera.

It is one of the down falls of this camera there is no IR option, you either need an external light source to use the super color night vision or the LEDs on the camera. If you are looking for something for wild life this might not be the best option for you.

Yes, there is an option for activity type for notifications. You can pick what you like as well as a schedule if you like.

Yes, you can connect this Tapo cameras to the TP-Link ViGi NVR thru ONVIF, you just have to make sure your cameras have static IPs too which I think you know how to setup anyway. I currently have 5x C320WS and 1x C225 all connected to the TP-Link NVR1016H all recording at 2k resolution. I could connect to either Tapo app or Vigi NVR apps. One of my cameras has an SD card and the camera records on that SD card too while also recording in the Vigi NVR. So I get the much faster timeline scrolling on that one camera with SD card while also having the recording on my NVR with 1TB storage atm that has about 1 week continuous recording in it. They've had several firmware updates for the NVR and mostly the cameras over more than a year of using it, and I must say at least on the software side, they seem to be supporting this cameras quite well for now as Ive seen several improvements on the detection side and even the UI.

Have you tired dialing in the sensitivity in the AI Detection zone? I had to lower mine because I was getting hits from people walking just outside the zone.

Thank you. The big difference between the two is the C325WB has a crazy night time censor which lets you see in color in almost zero light. Other then that they are very similar cameras.

Yes the camera is set to record 24/7 right out of the box. The schedule for "clips" could be used if one does not have a large sd card and only wants to record when there is activity in the cameras line of sight to save space. I do prefer having a camera record 24/7 so I can always look back if there was something that happened that might not have "triggered" the camera.

Yes, I have the app on several devices. I can view the camera feed from anyone of them.

With a camera that does 24/7 recording I like the 256 gigabyte card as it gives you more space before things get overwritten

Screws measure about 2.5 in between them from left to right.

It has one rubber gasket covering the connection from the plug to the camera. If you need an extention you might need to pick up another one. But I have found using electrical tape works pretty well.

The only thing I got for this video was the camer to review. When I work with a company part of my condition is I get to do the video how I like without approval. If you are worried about how I sound in the video I was genuinely that impressed with the camera.

I hate to say it but I do not belive so. I thought it was at first also, but was corrected by Tapo and had to adjust my video. I think you can only just use the either net as a means of connecting it to your network. Which as far as I understand will not let you connect it to a server surveillance station. I really need to set one up so I can test these types of things to know for sure. Thanks for the Idea.

With any luck they can fix this too in future updates.

Personally 5 frames extra might not be worth the upgrade. It will look a little smoother but the real reason to upgrade is for the color night vision. It is just crazy, I have not tested anything like it yet.

At this time 30min is the max. That could change in the future but that is as long as you can do right now.

I can see why you would think that. While the camera was given to me the video was not approved by the company. I do honest reviews including short comings that I find.

It does not. I thought it did at first but Tapo corrected me saying the cable was just for wired internet.

The big difference is this camera has enhanced colored night vision and a better processor which gives you a sharper picture. This camera can only do colored night vision. The 320ws can do black and white night vision using or lights.

The 325 can actuality have video in almost no light. However it does not create video like you can with ir without using the led lights.

@user-pi4tq8es9f H264 is a very old and outdated video format technology, while H265 is very efficient and had better and smoother detail with better contrast and color gamut, saved in 10 bit colour depth. Ezviz from HikVision and Imou from Dahua (the largest and 2nd largest surveillance camera producer in the world) used H265 like for 95% of their surveillance cameras and none stored in 15fps, 100% of their surveillance cameras stored in 25/30fps.
