Wanderlei is one of the most vicious, OG fighters out there that still truly enjoys brawling. I met him a couple of years back and he's also super friendly. He truly cares about his fans. One of the last legends from the golden era of UFC and Pride. They don't make them like this guy anymore.

Headgear helps fairly little with CTE its more important to do light sparring, and just avoid been hit. Headgear could help though with stuff like scar tissue in parts of face. Even with headgear repeated strikes to the head causes CTE because its more about your head jolting from strikes, and those sudden snapping movements are causing the brain basicly jiggle around in your skull. Headgear even has some negative effects like making your head bigger target so you actually get hit more or making you think you can go harder than without it, and so on
